PERFECT for long cold/wet days/ ..and extreme cold weather.GOOD-LOOKING BOOT
It is still relatively too warm for me to wear these outdoors yet. -it's just early Oct.I tried them on when I first got them home and they feel great. I ordered them in the size I would order for any other type of shoe or boot.I can tell that they will be easy and cozy to wear when things get chilli or even extremely cold.I got them for the extreme cold and for long stays outdoors when things are both cold and wet too.I really like the way the soles of these boots wrap around from underneath to the sides and they do not have that typical ugly notch cut like many sport shoes and molded boot soles have. I am speaking of the notch or indent that they incorporate in the design between the heels and forefoot.I might have selected another solid color such as sand or grey, but the price on the black pair when I bought them here were around/under $100 and the other color options were mostly over $200 everywhere else.

Great winter shoe for general purpose.
I wear an actual 11M so ordered a 11.5 allowing for a medium weight sock but when the first pair arrived they were just too tight. Reordered a size 12 and they fit snug with medium weight socks but have worn them for many full days now and they have expanded to be very warm and comfortable. We are in mountain snow country so I have been wearing them in deep snow and puddles of water with warm and dry feet at the end of the day. I originally ordered them for snowshoeing but have ended up just putting them on in the morning and leaving them on all day when outside.

Everything I've ever wanted in a boot
This boot is like walking on a heated cloud while the rest of your body is freezing to death. It is very comfortable, is high enough to keep out snow, and has done a great job keeping out water. It really has been a pleasure walking around in these. They make you feel semi invincible to the snow below. The insides of the uppers are a nice soft fuzzy material that feel comfortable around your ankles. The laces are round and can come unknotted at times, so just double knot them. They seem to have good traction. My only counsel is to make sure you get the right size. I went to a brick and mortar store originally and found these boots. I wear a 12 or a 13 depending on the brand. I tried on a 12 but my toenail would contact the front of the footbed during my walking motion. I tried on the 13 and they were just too mushy. So I searched Amazon and found they had these boots in a 12.5. I wasn't sure if they would work, but I ordered them. Sure enough, they worked perfectly. So, if you get these boots and they seem a little too mushy, or if your toe contacts the front of the foot bed (you want there to be some dead air for insulation and to avoid aggravating your toe), keep in mind that it may not be the last of this boot, but rather the size.I fully recommend this boot. I hope this was helpful. If you have any questions I can help with, feel free to leave a comment.

Nice looking boot
I bought these boots to wear out in the winter.. to movies, shopping, etc. They will serve the purpose fine.I expected these boots to be warmer, after 20-30min in zero to fifteen above my toes were getting cold. That said I have never worn a pair of winter boots that kept my toes warm so I can't fault these boots for that. They look great and claim to be water proof which is all I was asking from them. For a truly warm winter boot I wear Micky Mouse boots but they are a bit much for just going out in winter. If you are looking at these boots as a nice looking functional boot they seem to fit the bill. If you want them to keep you warm if your car breaks down in a blizzard look elsewhere. One last thing, I have only had these boots about two weeks and I remember one review stating that the laces were loud and squeaky... I concur with this. They do squeak. At least mine do.

Really happy with this boot
I actually purchased this boot to wear with suits for work in the Colorado winter.I have a North Face winter boot rated at -40 degrees Fahrenheit for snowshoeing but I have to admit that this one is much more comfortable. Comfort is the most noticeable factor with this boot. After a Salomon ultralight hiking boot "blew out" while I was hanging off of a ledge with my backpack and a dog strapped to me I was "done" with the brand. With this one I made sure that the loops that hold the laces looked more reliable and they are. It's a nylon (I assume) fabric that looks sturdy and I don't have any concerns around the laces blowing out.As far as the style goes, I definitely like the simplicity of the boot and have received multiple compliments at work on the way they work with a suit and their general appearance.Right, right, also keeps the feet nice and cozy.

excellent value
Having used these for travel in Arctic conditions this past winter I can give these a good rating. They are warm enough for occassional outside walking or snow shoveling. I wore them for up to an hour in temperatures of around -10*F wearing a single pair of cotton socks and my feet stayed warm. I would not rate these as an all day shoe for very cold temperatures, but it is excellent for occassional outside use. They are comfortable and have good traction. They appear to be well constructed so I expect them to last. I normally wear a 10.5 US, that is the size I ordered, they fit well. The lacing works well and is easily adjusted. They are easy to remove at airport TSA checkpoints. The loop at the top of the back is useful for quickly pulling the shoe back on to your foot. I'd say these were well worth the money I spent, a good value. I wanted to purchase a pair for my wife but her size was sold out. I will be in the market for her size of this shoe this coming fall.

Great Comfortable Boot
After wearing out my Army issue Matterhorn boots I have found the Soloman Snowtrip Boots as an alternative. I have had a pair of Salomon slip-on shoes I have used while camping for a decade. I love the comfort and light weight of the shoe. So I found the Snowtrip and decided to give it a try based on my enjoyment and durability of the slip-ons. I have not challenged the boot in the harsh mountainous climate yet, but a few days of use to break them in reassure me of the decision. Great fit and extremely comfortable. Good arch support and solid construction.
