I can’t say enough good things about these headphones. I’m very hard of hearing and always have to turn the TV way up to hear the program I’m watching. This drives my husband crazy because he can hear my TV upstairs when he’s downstairs watching what he wants to watch. He is blessed with great hearing and it’s hard for him to comprehend why I need the volume so loud.I’ve been searching for a pair of headphones that would actually work for me. These are totally amazing. I think I can hear things I’ve never heard before, such as the background music and special effects.The list of pros is very long:1. They are wireless and rechargeable, a big plus, as there are no cords running across the room.2. The sound quality is fantastic. I can even hear the surround sound now.3. This headset works off of an infrared signal, so there is no interference with radios, cordless phones, etc.4. They are easy to hook up and will fit any TV. I did it myself and I’m not that familiar with this kind of stuff.5. There is a volume control right on the headset, so you can set it to the volume desired.6. What’s really nice is that the TV volume works independently from the headphone volume, so you can set the headset separately and two people can watch the same TV program and each have the show tuned to the perfect volume for them. This is a real big benefit.7. I’m still working on the first battery charge, so I don’t know how long the batteries last before you have to recharge the headset. They say approx 15 hours. I never watch that much TV all in one shot.8. There is an on/off switch on the transmitter and the headset, so simply switch off when not using.9. The transmitter and headphones will work up to 33 feet, the manufacturer says, but you have to be in a direct line with the transmitter, or you’ll get a buzzing sound. This isn’t a problem though if you’re watching TV, or a movie, because you wouldn’t wonder away from the program.10. They are almost noise cancelling too, but not quite.Cons:1. I can only think of one. They do have cushioned ear pads, but they are a bit tight on your ears if you wear them for several hours.In summary, I think you’ll love these, if you get yelled at to turn the volume down all the time. Enjoy TV, movies, and music without disturbing everyone in your house. They are supposed to work with hearing aides too, which is another plus. I can only say I wish I would have found these years ago. This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

Not quite a 5 star for me. The IR signal is nice in that it fills the room and I can walk anywhere within it and receive a good signal. Placement of the transmitter is key. I like the idea of multiple emitters in a fan configuration. There is some visible emission as well as IR, I think this is to show the unit has power. Setup was easy, similar to my RF unit. I bought the IR unit to replace my RF unit that was very finicky (too many dips and peaks of the signal due to two antenna patterns battling it out).The Pros:1. Standard AAA rechargable batteries are easy to change.2. Holds a charge a long time (15 hours claimed). The manufacturer warns about 24 hour overcharging so I only charge every other usage overnight.3. Fade free when moving about within range unlike the RF unit.4. At first I thought the audio is somewhat tinny but the bass is good so overall it has good frequency response.5. An easy to find on/off switch so you can leave the room and save your batteries.The Cons:1. The volume control is almost impossible to find while on your head. They should have made it more prominent. Also the control is too sensitive, only a slight turn takes it from too low to blasting.2. Not in the description but after about 1 minute of silence the transmitter drops out leaving you with white noise in your headset. Very annoying when navigating a menu or viewing a schedule channel.Overall, I miss being able to wander the house and still listen as with the RF unit. But this unit is so trouble free that this is a small inconvience.

Love this wireless headphone setup package -- haven't used it yet in rest home for our older friend, that comes tomorrow at 2 pm after 24-hour initial charge. But have used these for 3 years from my own personal purchase. I didn't even know 'til this time around ordering that you do not need to load the batteries into a wall recharger. You just use a tiny extra plug-in that goes right into the earphones. Do I feel foolish, but nice to know one can recharge it the company's easy way or my more indirect cumbersome way. Charge seems to last far longer than 15 hours. Very comfortable on the ears, but unfortunately, a nice curved piece inside the top curve fell off, first earphone #1, then a year later earphone #2. Not clever enough to scotch tape it back up there, so it just hangs a bit lower down my neck but still sounds so great I don't mind it's a bit lower on my head. I could not remember if I had to buy extra parts to set the thing up 3 years ago, but, lo and behold, this company's package includes all parts needed. I bought a more expensive TV wireless headphone in FL where I live winters, since I guess I ordered my first version not from Amazon, so I had no record of where I purchased it. Should have looked on the device -- found name, put it into Amazon, and ordered it this 2nd time easily. The Florida one I hate -- a very weird setup I by-luck figured out, but I do not like at all how it recharges, and it's sound quality is nowhere near this company's one. Great job creating this package at a great price.

Absolutely love these! This was a MARRIAGE saver! My husband always turns up the TV especially when my children would try and talk to me when we are the same room. Then they talk louder and up goes the TV. So I first purchased a cheaper set. They did not work well at all! Upgraded to these the price was well worth every penny! It was easy to set up and easy to use. Only two things I can say I don’t like. 1) You need to hook it up through Cable box. I couldn’t get them to work directly on my TV (newer model Tv) so if you watch Hulu, Netflix or a DVD they do not work. 2) if you walk between the Headphones and the receiver you lose sound only for the second that it’s blocked unless they stand there. That’s why I only gave it 4 stars!Other than that they work great and you can adjust the sound on the headphones directly.

The biggest problem is it sending unit has to be pointed directly at the headset. Otherwise it pretty good
