Wilton 3-Piece Center Core Cake Rods, Purple

I don’t understand people complaining about it not supporting a cake? I used this for a two tiered cake, 8” that was three layers with a 6” double layer on top, I had to transport the cake and it survived the car trip, not one shift of the top tier. It worked JUST the way I was hoping. I love that I can reuse this for future cake projects (as long as I can get it back) It perfectly supported my cake, as long as you have Additional support to help hold up the other tiers, it will work great.

I use these for core stabilizers in tiered wedding cakes. I also hammer a skewer in down the center of these for extra support. I've transported 3 tier wedding cakes an hour away without any issues thanks to these.

Love these dowels they work wonderful for those tiered cakes that you fear won’t uphold the regular straw method or the super wide post method

I did a 5 tier wedding cake and used this to hold it in place. The price is great but it’s not sturdier enough to hold a lot of weight. I ended up not using it in the middle of the cake. I believe it would work better if it’s used on a smaller tier cake.

There's a lot of sophisticated support systems on the market. By comparison, this is a more economical system that is simple to understand and adaptable to fit most needs. I live in the mountains, so traveling with tiered cakes can be a bit much. However, I am impressed with this system (this accompanying rods are of course a must). I traveled 1:30 with a wedding cake...around some major curves and gravel roads. My cake made it without a bit of distortion from our dreaded friend, gravity.

I love these additional supports for any two or three tiered cake. They make traveling with a cake a breeze,m. They provide great support and helps to keep the cake from leaning!! I love these

I’m not sure if it was user error, but all of my tiered cakes leaned with this product. Switched to a different product and my cakes don’t lean anymore

I got these for a wedding cake. I'd never done anything like this before but these are pretty easy to use once you've worked it out and read the instructions (and looked at a video on you tube......). I would use them again now that I"m familiar with them.

Bought these along with the support rods to make my sons wedding cake. Worked well. I had never used them before. Took a bit of care to get the lengths worked out, but were easy to cut. Held the cake well. It made a three hour car journey intact!

Bought these with the support rods and caps etc and they are just what I needed to support my daughters 3 tier wedding cake. They look so easy to use and I am pleased with my purchase

Just what I needed, a bit fiddly to put together but did the job.
