This device does not make the rotary tool a router. It does allow me to carve out areas for clearance and hinge mounting. The tool helps me keep a steady hand when using the rotary tool. A good way to spend $10 for a hobbyist.

The price is good and shipping was fast but the quality is OK but the routing bits don't stay sharp very long and wear out pretty fast.

Good tool kit to have, but a little too much money for what it can do. Other than that, I would recommend it.

I use the bits for various purposes: jewelry-making, tiny carvings, repurposing little plastic bottles into miniature vases, making grooves, and precise shaping of small pieces. I also use the "Locater" with ordinary tiny straight HSS drill bits to make holes that are perfectly perpendicular to the surface being drilled into. My dremel tool has a convenient keyless chuck that does not fit inside the opening of the "locater" (it cannot be simply slid inside) without removing the collar between the dremel tool's body and the rotating threaded shaft, so my first uses of the bits and the "locater" required some setup. I have since used the routing bits themselves to make that opening in the "locater" bigger, so that the keyless chuck slides through, and this set has become one of my favorite little tools, easy to use and now immediately ready for any little job.

The black plastic guide/guard seems to be OK. It threaded it directly onto my ancient Dremel 395 with no issues. The bits that came with it are complete junk and are absolutely useless. They wont even cut through soft pine. Regardless of speed, nothing but smoke from them…..

I would have thought for the price it was going to feel very flimsy and only work for a few projects. But I have used and abused this thing and am very pleased with how it is holding up.

This product works as advertised. However, the rotary tool I connected it to didn't have enough power to get the job done I had in mind when I bought these. To do what I wanted, I ended up buying a battery powered trim router (palm router) from Ryobi which did exactly what I wanted.

I liked that it fit my tool. I got it for cutting out for door hinges and deadbolts.
