EVS Sports SB02BK-L SB02 Shoulder Support (Large) , Black

This device saved my life. I was in auto accident and have one complete thickness tear of one rotator cuff tendon and two partial tears in other tendons. Surgery is out of the question for numerous reasons and with this on I can function and it reminds me not to extend the arm much. It also limits how far forward you can reach arm which again reminds you. The compression sort of takes the place of wrecked tendons. I am very active and a dog walker. It takes some getting used to and I'm in Fla. so it is very hot. Also you must wear a full sleeve t shirt or it will pinch. I am female and luckily have small chest but could definatlly see how that would be a problem for full figured girls. I have no trouble getting into it myself. Just connect the back first and fit your bad arm into sleeve and grab the top with good arm and sort of slip in. You have to tug and pull with good arm to get a good fit. I am left handed and this is a left shoulder so no prob there. All that said I'm buying another because it really decreases the pain not to mention keeping my shoulder from popping out of it's socket! Highly recommend.

I have a torn rotator cuff (3rd time) that my doctor said cannot be fixed. While I researching other options I found some reviews from people with a similar problem that found this brace helpful. I have been using it for 2 days and did a light workout. Reduced any pain significantly. This seems to hold the upper arm in the socket during any lifting motion. Without the rotator cuff muscles the tendency is for the upper arm bone to lift out of the socket causing rubbing, inflammation and wearing of the bone when the deltoid muscle pulls the arm up. I also ordered the SB05 which fits both shoulders. Will write a review after I receive it and use during workout. Had the other shoulder repaired once and figure that it will help support it and reduce chance I will tear that one. Wish I had gotten this after my second surgery and worn it when doing activities that stress the shoulder joint.Go to the EVS website for sizing information prior to purchasing. Initially brought a large and had to return and get a medium. I wore a light tight tee shirt under the brace and did not get any irritation after several hours. Rubber smell disappears after washing.

I dislocated my right shoulder 6 times. I was fed up and bought a bunch of braces. I dislocated it badly by falling forward, putting my arm out and it pushed it up so far back it disloated. I put it back in place mynself, by extending my arm all the way out striaght, layin on the ground and holding that position, my arm all the way up. That allows it to go back in the socket. After 4 min I roll over, and it goes back in and i put my arm down. Crucial knowledge if this happens to use. Also push on the top of your shoulder blade, while u have your arm fully extended to sort of push it in.Ok, so back to the braces. This brace was no good for me. I needed a brace with straps on top so I can actually prevent my arm from moving up in the air. Like restrict it from moving up too far to prevent this dislcation from happenin because it is too much, I'm fed up and can't take it no more. I only need to wear it while I skate or snowboard. So I bought this but realized the other models with those extra straps allow you to regulate exactly how far your arm will go up. Perfect for what I need. Also it will make u aware that your arm is injured so you can be aware to prevent injuries. ok, hope that helps.

My shoulders are beyond repair. I was in a Great deal of intense pain. I did not know what I was going to do, I knew I had to have some sort of support. I tried to wrap did not work well. My Doctor did not know or did not suggest. I had to rely on myself to look into situationI looked up shoulder supports on line read the reviews and bought my first pair. The difference was amazing, I thought I would never work againnow I can work limited however, now I know my limitations. Less pain not eliminated but acceptable. I now have two pairs one on when I washor change do to perspiration. I would not be without these. I recommend these for anyone. That is even starting to have difficulty with shoulder problems. They hold me together and limit my movement. I can not live without having them on. GREAT PRODUCT FOR ME I AM SO THANKFULI FOUND THEM I hope this helps someone else don't wait. I could go on, I can't say enough about how they have helped.

Very comfortable and supportive. I wear mine under my shoulder pads for ice hockey, and it adds enough support that I don't favor my "weak" shoulder while playing. I basically put it on and forget about old injuries and just play. Also doesn't limit my mobility at all.UPDATE: I have downgraded my rating of this product from 5 to 3 stars b/c the quality is pretty poor. After one season of ice hockey, stick times, and pick up games my brace is so tattered that I can hardly wear it without it falling apart. The shoulder support is still pretty good, but it will have to be replaced before I start ice hockey this season. It just wont last more than a couple more washes. If you buy it, just plan on re-purchasing every season...
