Lifetime 6 Foot Yellow Youth Kayak

We really like this kayak and it is super light and easy to move and put on the car roof. If you want scupper plugs for the drain holes don't order the standard ones as I tried about 5 different brands off amazon and they were all too big despite being "similar in measurements". For this lifetime youth kayak you need silicone rubber stoppers size #5 which fit perfectly without sticking out either top or bottom. Screw a threaded eye bolt into the top of the rubber stopper to allow removal and use a string to the tie down loops so they don't get lost or sink. The person weight capacity is accurate and you can go a little over that number if you can deal with reduced stability. Note that these are designed for flat water and become very unstable in ocean/bay type waves with white caps.

I bought two of these. My grandson who was 9 or 10 at the time loved it. I am a small woman so fit fine on the Kauai. We would go out on our little harbor and paddle around. It was an adventure for both of us. Good on sheltered waters. We loved these. Then he out grew it. Too bad. They were easy to get to the beach. Light enough for my grandson to manage on his own. Very durable. Not too tippy. Comfortable to be on. He was a good swimmer plus he had a life jacket on so I felt he was always safe.

We bought six of these for all the children that come to our lake place during the summer. They are very maneuverable, lightweight to carry, and suitable for even four year olds. They get used day in and day out. When one of them developed a small leak from scraping on rocks, we simply heating the spot and it was quickly fixed. These are a great value for the money, and so much fun!

The kayak is great but the package came ripped open and there was no paddle. I looked online and can't find a replacement anywhere. Now my daughter has to use a full size paddle which is hard because she is only 4, going on 5. Unfortunately her fun is hampered by the challenge of holding such a big paddle. I wanted to order another one of these for my nephew but no way. I will find somewhere else to get it.

really great product. even a 4-year-old can use it easily....and handles kids much older. Easy to navigate. kids can easily jump out, then pull themselves onto the back to get back on (it's made to do this). Not too heavy, but easy to carry (for adults) and easy for kids to push into the water. HIghly recommend. we have not tried in the ocean, yet, so cannot speak to how it handles in the waves. But great for lakes.However, be wary of the seller's shipping policies. We are still waiting on our most recent purchase (we have another 3 at home already).....we purchased from Wayfair, and it currently appears it will arrive 20 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE...missing the date the gift was to be given. For this, I could scream. Find another seller.

Great kayak for my 9 year old. Very stable and easy to steer. The back rest that comes with boat offers very little support. We replaced it with a more substantial seat and now can spend hours out on the water comfortably.

I purchased this kayak with trepidation, concerned my 5 yr old wouldn't be able to maneuver it aptly. Boy was I wrong! This boat is as light as a feather, sturdy and stable as my sit in kayak, tracks beautifully, and is easily propelled and maneuvered by my child. It fits inside my Honda CRV, so I don't have to fuss with tie downs of I don't want. AND it's rated to 130 lbs, so it can be used for years by my child or I can use it while she's at school!Only negative is that the seat is cheese, cheap, and useless unless alerted to have shorter straps which I accomplished by tying them in knots. If you find a boat that comes with the seat, cool, otherwise not worth you going out and purchasing separately. It would be great if the boat had more grommets for the purchase and installation of more gadgets or a better seat.Overall great purchase! I couldn't be happier.

Looking forward to using it next year seems to be exactly what I want. Can’t wait to use it.
