Good
Works good for FM reception in my fringe are. Up in the mountains and the 6 stations only broadcast at 5,000W. I have a vintage tube tuner and did not want to submit to a amplified antenna. This one works w/o amplification, just threads into the antenna input does not have a wall plug and of course then it turns on with the radio. Stoked.

Very sturdy antenna, it does appear to outperform the RCA basic antenna.
I bought this antenna to replace my RCA "basic" antenna. IMO this antenna is superior and doesn't cost much more. I'm not sure if the knob really does anything... I played with it a little but it didn't really help me tune in channels so I don't know if that is a helpful feature. The good:*The base is metal and stable*The cable cord is longer than the basic antenna*The extendable antennas can be turned as well as tilted (allowing more adjustments)*This antenna does pick up signals better than the basic antenna. I could not tell you why but same position and TV there was no other differences.*This antenna arrived fully assembled in the boxThe bad:It is a little larger than the basic antennaIt is much heavier (although great for stability...I would only worry about it if could get knocked off the entertainment center and hit a little one in the head...pet owner parents use caution!)The good definitely outweighs the bads. The weight isn't really a bad...but again if it hits someone it could cause some damage. I would recommend this product.

Pretty Good and Unobstrusive
I was hoping for the results that many other people had when using this antenna. I checked online for my area and zip code, and it said it would be possible to get up to 35 channels with an antenna.I now get 4 channels, one of them Spanish, which I don't speak, so 3 watchable ones. I am just 10 minutes from downtown, but maybe because of taller houses next door to me, the reception is blocked. My attic is lower than the roofs of my neighbors, so it would not be worth it to put one there, either. But the channels I get come in very clear, which is at least better than no channels.

Not good
Bought one and the antenna broke off right out of the box. Replaced it and worked for awhile and there was a flash and pop on tv and quit working.

You get what you pay for.
Be careful adjusting the rabbit ears! One broke at the bottom after adjusting it to get the best reception for about 45 minutes. Having said that, even with one dipole it works ok. Only buy this if you live in a metro area within 10 miles or so of the towers. If your towers are in different directions you will have to pick your favorite and aim it that way. Go to antenna dot org or the fcc website or tvfool to see where your towers are, how many channels you are likely to get, and what antenna will work best for you. I live in the middle of Indianapolis. All I want is the major networks and the CW. I first placed it in my living room. It picked up ABC, NBC, FOX, and the CW easily, as well as other stuff I won't watch. BUT I watch CBS the most and spent over an hour trying to pick it ip with no luck. So I bought a Mohu Leaf and thought I would try it in the basement just to see what I could get. We just have a PS3 down there and use that for Netflix, etc so any OTA TV would be a bonus. To my surprise, on the first try it picked up everything I wanted with no effort or adjusting whatsoever. ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and the CW. Nothing else, at all, but I don't want anything else. Indianapolis offers way more OTA channels than these five and I could not pick those up reliably in either location - no PBS, WNDY, Ion, etc. If you want as many channels as possible this is not for you, if you just want something cheap and very basic - and you live in a good location - it may work for you. I should receive the Mohu Leaf 30 today, hopefully that will get me the five channels I want.

Worked very well
We got rid of satellite TV and live 50 miles from the OATV transmitters, but thankfully they are on a mountain and we live in a flat area. We had four tv's needing OATV capability. I put this in the main living room, but it actually did worse than a $13 variant I had already purchased. But when I moved it to a middle room (in a stucco covered house with wire mesh) it did fantastic! I had one of the small, "Boosted" antennae that drew power from a USB port. The boosted variant gave me 19 channels, and I couldn't get the local FOX network (a problem in several rooms.) This one picked up 36 channels to include FOX. I have an older variant of this (much older) so I wanted one with the huge 3 foot extendable diodes with the hoop. It worked very well for me, but I felt it was a tad pricey (about $30.)

It works
It works okay. Love the app as it helps you find the best direction to find the best signal . It is a bit expensive for rabbit ears. I remember when they were $6.99
