Part 1 - Sight Mount for Burris III
Only 4 stars for now as I have not actually take the part out to the range for test fire as of this writing. As the previous writer stated "dissatisfied with the fit of the dovetail mount. Was provided (2x) dovetail mounting options: 1 for the Cougar and 1 for the 92/98 mount." I too have a 92 and found that the 92/98 dovetail adapter was way to small. The "Cougar" one was a little better fit. I am not sure where the other writer's Beretta was made at, but perhaps the 92/98 adapter will fit the American built Beretta, and the Cougar one will fit the Italian made version. Either way, it seems as if there is an adapter available for your 92. Very well made part, fit and finish are excellent, contains two set of screws (2 long and 2 short), lock washers, and tool to install the screws. All you need to do is push out the sight that came with the pistol (be sure you are pushing it out right to left when viewing it from the back side) and push / tap in the adaptor, set the base on top of the slide and screw it down. I topped it off with a Burris Fast Fire III from the same seller. Will update this post under my review of the Burris Fast Fire 3 after I have gone to the range and tested everything out.

Works great if you install it correctly on Super Redhawk
I read several reviews saying the mount would be offset because of the ridge that secures it to the side of the mount. If you mount it on the front location this is true. The directions specifically say to mount it on the rear location near the hammer. If you do this as the instructions indicate, all is well. It sits centered and secured. Also, the directions state to gently tight the left side. If you over tighten the left side it is just pulling against the ridge on the the side of the mount and will not tighten any further. So snug the left, then tighten the right and it will be just fine. The Surefire 3 mounts securely, and there are no issues. It is nice and compact compared to the pica-tinny rail mount adapters so no extra mass on the top your pistol. I will see how well this system holds up after a few 100 rounds of 44RM hunting loads.

It may not fit your handgun, but the Burris support group is very helpful
Because my old eyes cannot focus on the front sight and the target together I caved in and decided to compromise my Colt Gold Cup by putting a Burris Fastfire III on it. I have 4 FF III's on wheel guns so I am used to the function and know the quality of Burris. This Mount promises to work on 1911 Adjustable/Novak sights pistols. It may work on some, but not on my Colt Gold Cup. It seems that Colt Gold Cup's have a range of rear sight configurations. My stainless, Series 80, 2012ish Cup has a Colt branded rear sight. The Colt pony icon is etched on the top plane of the sight and the Colt text logo is on the left side. The width of the dovetail is 9.26 mm and the depth is 2.5 mm. The dovetail is equal on both sides. However, on the slide the dovetail opening is wider on the left than the right: about 9.94 mm left and 8.66 on the right. The dovetail that comes in this package is 12.11 mm wide at the base on both ends and the angle of the sides is far greater -- I am guessing 60 degrees versus 45 degree for the Colt OEM. I called Burris and was greeted by a well spoken and knowledgeable support person. He told me this is a common problem and there are many different sight mounts even for the same model handgun. He is going to mail me three dovetails hoping that one will fit correctly. No charge. I will update this post with the result.

Very easy installation as well
This is a quality made piece, that fits very well, very snug, and aligns well. The FF3 mounts to it and it's solid as a rock. Very easy installation as well, it comes with extra screws too in case you lose one. Great product as far as quality and for what it's meant to do.I gave this 4 stars because 3.5 isn't an option.I bought this mount so I could mount the affordable FF3 to my S&W to try it out before sending the slide to have a slot machined out for regular mounting.I shot it today and it held up great and did it's job. However, the mounting block is so thick and so high that you cannot zero the FF3 properly. Point of impact is well below point of aim, about 4-5" at 25 yards, and about 2-3" at 10-15 yards, and that's with maxing out the elevation setting on the FF3.The mount should have been made with a downward angle, leaning low in the front, so that you can adjust the FF3 to at least zero at 25 yards. For the purpose it's intended, mounting to a dovetail so you don't have to machine your slide, it's great. I just wish they had accounted more for the height above bore and tilted it down a few degrees.Quality 5/5Fit 4/5Installation ease 5/5Design 2/5Price 3/5If you don't have a CORE series (the FF3 mounts to the number 5 plate) This mount should only be used for temporary mounting or if you simply don't/can't pay for the machining of the slide (about $200 every where I've checked)I'll be sending my slide away for machining but this mount helped me determine if I like a red dot on a pistol (never experienced one before) and I ended up loving it.-Marine Vet/Police Officer

Works like a champ!
I bought this to mount a Vortex Venom on my Ruger Mk IV. My research indicated that this was the lowest mount possible for the application. The closer to the bore axis the better. And the price is better than some of the custom high end versions, that aren't as low. The design is easy to install, self-aligns due to the curvature of the receiver's top, and is very secure once installed. If doing it all over again, I'd buy this over other options every time!
