So having only been in this house for 2 years I have been plagued with wasps both summers I've been here. Every year they have start a nest in both my shed and my garage. Always dealt with promptly but we would be constantly harassed in the garden and we love being outdoors. Decided to try these and I've had 2 up outside and one in my shed and one in my garage. Worth noting I put them up long before spring even thought about coming. May just be a quiet year for wasps but I've seen I think 2 or 3 all year. No attempted nests in either the shed or the garage either. Time will tell but I do feel they are worth a try and so far they seem to work. Just make sure you have them up for the start of spring as Ince the wasps are established it's too late.

I put one above my back door and haven’t had any flying insects enter the house.

I have had wasp nests before these. The difference is European wasp nest are white not grey. European nests are the size of cricket balls not rugby balls. No wasp had flight path hurt, was disturbed, annoyed or worried. Totally useless. Even more annoying bought 12 inch silver balloons to fit nest. The balloons all burst covering the garden in silver confetti. kept appearing in the grass for a week. jam jars with jam, sugar and water and holes in the lid are free and do an effective job. Do not buy these and if you want to give away money, give it to charity as that might do some good as these obviously do not.

I bought this because I had a very determined wasp, intent on making a nest in the Eve's. Not only that he had bought all of his mates with him. I ordered this and it came the next day. Meanwhile everyone was constantly waving the wasps away with limited success. Once I had put two of these up, they flew away immediately and never came back. I was utterly amazed. This simple item performs so well. Just by its appearance of a hornets nest the wasps thought better of making their nest there. Its also sturdy enough to stand up to a windy day.
