Great Filter - Many Years of Use...
I have been using mine now for almost 3 years without issue. I clean them every year and they look as good as the day I purchased them. I use a air compressor to blow out all the dust bunnies and anything else trapped inside, and then I use a water hose and spray them carefully without to much water pressure bearing down on them. Once its washed with water I use the air compressor to blow out all the water and then let them sit in the sun for the afternoon, by mid day they are fully dry and ready to go. These things were built to last!

This is NOT the proper replacement filter.
The filter set I received was the proper size. But, it is NOT the filter in the picture. The filter media was different: a cross hatch front and rear screen with fine plastic type media between them. When I called another Honeywell component distributor, he was not aware of this type, or of any other "approved" replacement for the post filter. However, we both agreed the screen make up probably provided some level electrostatic filtration and is probably not worth the bother to return. He shared this with me even after telling me his company had the exact post filter (part # 50000293-004 with the blue cellular filter media) required for my air filter unit. Anyway, my next order will not be place with HoneywellHome.

Very good post filter from Honeywell for your electronic filter
Purchased to see if it limits the amount of dust that my electronic filter could miss. So far after about a month the post filter is clean. I was thinking of buying another but the price increased from 30.89 to 50.86... WOW.. Will wait for a few months to see if the price goes down but can't see how it increased by 20 dollars..I like that it can be vacuumed but DO NOT WASH it...

Close enough for F50A-F50E models
Finally found the right post filter. The model changed from the greenish ones to just aluminum as the new ones are more efficient. They are not the loose mesh used in the prefilter.I took a chance on getting this for my ancient F50A model, which is nearly identical to the F50E from what I've been reading aside from a couple extra features. The description for this filter product says it isn't compatible with A thru E but nobody could answer what exactly was different vs the F.The difference is size. This filter is technically 1/4 inch taller than what I need. I determined this by comparing it to my prefilter as I've never has a post filter (came with the house, too awhile to find the right product and the proper model of filter doesn't seem to exist anywhere). The thickness for the slot was perfect and it started to fit until it got to the bumps and screws.I found that by GENTLY bending the long side if the frame just a tiny bit I could get it inserted with the bend going toward the furnace. Since they were bent close enough there wasn't a gap between them. Yes there is a tiny gap in the sides but since these breathe really well I don't think that is going to be a problem with the air rushing around it instead of through it. Definitely better than nothing!I did bend the first one a little too much and bent it back in a bit and it was ok. The edge of the wire mesh came out a little from the frame and it's pokey so if you are worried you might put on some gardening or work gloves, but if you just barely bend it by jiggling it some then you should be fine and nothing poked out of the other one.I'll try to post some pictures later.

no problems
be careful to measure your old filters, to ensure you are ordering the correct size, as there are several sizes. I always order an extra set for each of our furnaces, so when it is time to change the filters, I don't have to wait for an order to arrive, but I can just order ahead for the next cleaning and use what I already have stored. Regularly cleaning and changing furnace filters lengthens the life of your furnace.

Do NOT wash these filters
These filters are now white instead of blue, as pictured. Don't worry, it's the same filter. Do worry about washing these filters! It will destroy the electronic charge. It says this in the users manual, but who reads a manual on filters? The HVAC folks who service my system do not know this and I have to rush to intervene every time they come. Why this information is not printed in big letters on the label, I don't know. There must be millions of people out there using useless filters that have been washed!
