Magic in the everyday
Zero stars because I have to wait until 2021 for the next volume?!!?!Just kidding. I enjoyed this one, with the discovery of the mana types as well as the Samurai ghost. As always, it's a very peaceable and relaxing storyline, and everything is gentle. The magic is in the everyday. Highly recommended.

This series is so much fun in the first place, and this volume includes some interesting expansions on the world of the witches, and more.

Makoto finally knows what kind of witch she is. Witching and life in Aomori
In this volume we learn which of the nine paths of witchery that Makoto is on. She's a rare dark witch. This doesn't mean that she is going to take over the planet (which would be totally out of character and she'd get lost too...) but that she's good at creating stuff. She learns her path at the home of Enigamo. This chapter is a light-hearted sci-fi chapter which seems a bit out of place in the series. The rest of the book tells of Anzu's odd walk to school and how to power up your magic.As the series goes on the "joy of life" element is fading a little and is being replaced by joy of witchery. It still features the charming characters we've seen before but the direction is shifting a little. Mind you, the return of the orchard trimming and the problem with owls was hilarious. Highly recommended.

Affinities!
Basic magic, affinities, friendship and light and dark. This was fun, less funny but far more background into mana types, base magic and training. I loved the last story and the changes in so many characters.
