I'll b honest here: I'm a gullible tool, easily manipulated by media. I always wanted a li'l nixie-tube clock, but never felt impelled to act on that impulse til I saw that Wednesday Addams had one in her teevee show dorm room, so then I just had to have one. THIS one is simply beautiful; real wood base, with a gently glowing undercarriage (u can change the color, density, & brightness), and it makes me very happy clicking away the minutes and hours. And if I can figure out the directions (it has all kindsa special features that I'm not gonna use, but you might), anyone can.

Electronic geek son loved it. He immediately opened the package and had it running in minutes. Very stylish and functional for him.

I ordered this because I'm old enough to remember Nixie tubes (and the Beatles and the Moon landings etc . . .) and I wanted a novelty clock. But this thing is a real work of art. The case is a beautiful toasted wood and the overall layout is simple and elegant. The single control button on the back allows easy access to the many options for the display and supplemental LED lighting. Even the wooden box it came in was so nice that I kept it for storing other stuff.It's from the Ukraine. I paid some additional $$$ to get it here quicker than 30 days and it arrived just fine in about a week. Ukraine, Russia and a couple of other former USSR states are only places making Nixie tubes anymore - and my favorite guitar amp tubes - and they seem to know what they're doing.When I plugged it in it instantly came up with my local time to the minute. To lengthen the tubes' lives it has an option to activate a motion detector to start it up when someone enters the room. This feature works great and I can't sneak up on it at all. I also can't figure out where the motion sensor is!I highly recommend this in terms of both form and function.

I have now received two devices that just do not work upon arrival. They do not turn on at all. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and that the first tube clock was an accident. However, after getting two that are dead on arrival I have to rate this low. It sucks because this old retro look very cool to me (it is a bit smaller than expected like most Amazon stuff, but it still looks really cool-- in concept at least). I give up though. I am returning for a refund. Don't bother with this product. The company that makes these clearly have no quality control. This is an expensive clock to be showing up unresponsive.

After my husband and I saw this kind of clock on a show, he really wanted one. I bought this as a gift for him and he really loves it. It seems to be very good quality - however it is a pain in the butt to set up and time consuming. Also, we still need to try again and see if perhaps we set it up incorrectly (itreally is a pain in the butt) but if we did not set it up wrong, the auto-sleep mode to save the bulbs life span does not work. Overall compared to other prices i found for these clocks this seems to be a great buy and a very nice clock.

Beautiful little Nixie clock. Everything worked perfectly and it’s easy to program with the included instructions. A fair price too, plenty of less stylish clocks cost more. Very happy with this in my office!

First one arrived with a duff tube, but Amazon sent out a replacement that works fine. Complements my tube amplifiers nicely. Nice casework. Will be interesting to see how long the Nixie tubes last. Even though the manual says tubes are replaceable, they seem quite hard to find.,

I bought this for my husband after seeing something similar, on a Netflix series, for his birthday. We don't have the retro/steampunk/industrial decor or style, but both he and I thought this clock was really cool! It was packaged pretty well. The only thing I was didn't care for when it arrived to the house it has the inventory stick on the side of the package, but that came off quickly. He set it up to his liking in about 10 mins with & without the instructions. Works well so far. It made a really cool gift & worth the money!!!
