Booja - Booja, Around Midnight Espresso Vegan Chocolate Truffles 92g

I don’t know why there are so many people complaining about receiving so few truffles, it says in the description this is 8 truffles and it’s a 92g box (for perspective you can reference this to the amount of chocolate you get with a typical 100g bar of chocolate). They are luxury truffles and they’re also vegan (and don’t taste like coconut or anything else other than rich cocoa and whatever flavour they are each meant to be) making them a wonderful treat for someone like me who is avoiding dairy and still wants to treat themselves to a decadent truffle or two (why should we miss out, right?) They are full-sized chocolates (about 12g each), dusted with cocoa. They’re lovely and fresh and rich in taste, with a dense but perfectly smooth, melt in your mouth consistency, every bit as satisfying as their dairy-full cousins. -- My thoughts on the flavours I’ve tried so far -- ORANGE - 5/5 - delicious orange flavour with slightly chewy sweet bits of orange (no bitter rind which I was dreading) HONEYCOMB - 4/5 - plain cocoa truffles with light and crispy honeycomb pieces for an enjoyable texture and no sticky bits. ESPRESSO - 5/5 - perfectly smooth, ganache like centre with a good coffee flavour, slightly bitter and not too sweet - definitely more of dark chocolate espresso than creamy cappuccino. ALMOND SALTED CARAMEL - 3.5/5 - a sweet and salty mix with a caramel-like almond flavour; the sugary bits have a nice crunch to them but have a tendency to stick to your teeth. CHOCOLATE SALTED CARAMEL - 3.5/5 well rounded flavour that’s both caramel-ey and salty but again the caramel bits become toffee-like and get stuck to your teeth. HAZELNUT CRUNCH - 4/5 - praline like in flavour with crunchy bits of chopped toasted hazelnut, definitely nutty with a mellow cocoa taste to compliment. DEEPLY CHOCOLATE - 4.5/5 - pure smooth truffles uninterrupted by any form of distraction, they melt in the mouth perfectly to deliver an immediately satisfying chocolate hit. The truffles come in a sealed box with a foil layer over the inner tray; I really like this as you only need to peel open a little to access each truffle as you go along and then tuck the foil back under the tray so all the remaining truffles stay fresh. These are definitely chocolates to savour, they feel like decadent little treats that I always look forward to: get them for yourself (as I do) or as a gift (these little boxes are all single flavours but the larger boxes have an assortment which is better if you don't know what the recipient will enjoy most).

As I'm coeliac and dairy intolerant, usual free from chocolate is a tad rubbish but these were yummy, ok, they're expensive, and you only get 8, but they're very rich and for special occasions I'd definitely buy again

Purchased the Midnight Express Truffles for the strong coffee flavour. I originally tasted these in a mixed flavour box I received as a gift. Midnight Express Truffles in the mixed box had a better courser texture and stronger flavour than those in the single flavour box. However they were still enjoyable.

These are tiny. Basically £1 for each chocolate. Other vegan chocolates are more for less money. Very disappointing as the photos make it look like a bigger box. The box will fit in the palm of your hand. Bought for an allergy sufferer of dairy products . Will never buy again.
