LARSON Brisa Double Sandstone Retractable Screen Door, French Door Screen with EZ-Glide Fits 80-in to 81-in Tall x 68-in to 72-in Wide Front or Patio Doors

With the summer heat subsiding I decided to install this screen door and I'm very pleased with the outcome. It's not cheap but it's well made and fairly easy to install but I would recommend you get help putting it in place as it would be difficult to hold it and operate the tools needed to secure it, especially being a double door model. I like it has dark bands top and bottom to improve visibility. Now I'm able to get fresh air without the bugs coming in, also it was nice to be able to choose the color.

Overall exactly what I expected. The framing is solid! 2 People for placement and to secure the frame are necessary. Assembly is easy and straight forward. We made sure to follow the instructions and double checked everything. The screen does come out of it's track when your pet fails to see it but it is easy to put into place by just allowing the screen to retracked. Best make sure that does not happen to often though. Color fit perfectly. I will revisit this review with a long term use opinion should things change for the worse.

Overall I am very pleased with the product as I was able to assemble and install it by myself and it looks and functions beautifully. Everyone that has seen it loves it. Also, delivery was much faster than advertised. Here are some thoughts about the assembly: Product is well designed to maximize flexibility of installation. But it did take a bit to figure out how the pieces fit together. One side piece has slide bolts top and bottom to enable you to lock that side closed. The sides can be flipped “upside down” so that you can plan which side is used for everyday traffic. Also, there’s a lock on the handle, which can be mounted to either side of the door to accommodate inside or outside door installation. The top and bottom rails are the same. They have a groove to slide in the bottom sill plate. The sill plate is between the screen door and the French door and surprisingly cleaned up the look and function of that space since it perfectly aligns the top of the track to your existing sill plate. My only minor complaint is that the track is one inch tall, which is less than others, but could be an issue for those people with low mobility. I think that I will be looking for some corner round trim to install on the outside of the track to minimize that step.

Great product, love it overall as well as the install however, you’re definitely not installing this and only 1/2 hour. Not even Bob Vila with perfect conditions is installing this thing in a half hour. Be sure to take your own measurements. If you have to cut the track, make one cut on each track on opposing sides. The instructions are not at all clear about this. I ended up making a total of two cuts per track which works but was unnecessary and led to some troubles upon keeping the track intact while lifting the screen into place. I had to cut the tracks to fit a 57.75” opening. The instructions were not very concise or clear about how to accomplish this. Long story short, if I hadn’t taken my own measurements, I believe the cuts would have been wrong based off of the instructions. So take your own measurements and triple check everything. Also you will need to cut the sill plate if you have a smaller opening – the instructions do not reveal this either and this caveat is also missing upon many YouTube videos.

With minimal adjustments, my handyman had this installed in a flash. Works like a charm. What an upgrade, to be able to swing the french doors wide open, and enjoy the breeze off the creek! And I appreciate the subtle stripes - which do not interfere with view - for a little added safety. High end and durable. An excellent value. Recommended.

This thing is great! Fitment was spot on and assembly and installation was really easy. Watch the video to make it even easier. Theres a wide range of applications so be sure to measure properly before purchasing. Be mindful it attaches on the inside of the door trim/frame and needs to sit flush on the existing door sill or flush with it. The top sits on the outer part of the door trim/wall as do the outer sides. Quality is really nice and the view through the screen is fantastic - its not too dark to see through at all. It could have came with more screws to anchor it down better. I ended up adding a few more screws across the top trim to snug it up a bit more around the existing door frame. I also caulked around the screen frame to seal up any gaps. Do be wary of pets or kid around it. The screen itself can pullout of the track and a pet or child could sneak out easily through the bottom when the screen is in the closed postion. Although the two screens latch together in the center, the screens can be pushed out fairly easily from the reel on either side as there is no lock on the retractible mechanisms.

Took 3 very mechanically savvy adults to put it together, and install. We’ve had the screen in use now for 3 months, and the side that we open most, is now catching and ripping at the top. Mind you, in our home are only 2 adults, with zero misuse of this product. Sadly, the warranty does NOT cover the screen material. I have no idea how to resolve this issue before it becomes an expensive, worthless piece of garbage. Otherwise, I do love being able to open our French doors, and keeping the bugs out.

This is a great product and designed well for French doors. Easy to install to wood molding or brick face with some Home Depot PVC outdoor wood for framing. 3 sets, the third was easy once I figured out the setup.
