Works well with M4 Macs, and is fantastic for Illustration and Print color proofing.
This is a fantastic monitor... but it is HUGE! The companion app is awesome. It's SO bright! I had to lower the brightness, but it's easy to manage. The color is perfect. I am a graphic designer, illustrator and board game designer. I run an M4 Max PRO MacBook Pro with 2 monitors attached. This and a 24 Wacom Cintiq. Combined they are a powerhouse for illustration or complex system development. I cannot recommend this monitor enough! It's a good deal for the price. Honestly, I was considering the Apple equivalent and its 4 times the price. There are 2 failings on this monitor for me. 1: it should have a built in webcam. I suspect they don't include it because its a nice small bevel on the monitor, and or most people working at this level will have a pro-level webcam. 2: there are no speakers. Obviously not a dealbreaker, but it would have been a really nice to have feature. The ASUS ProArt 32" 6K Professional Monitor is a 4.75 stars out of 5 for me.

Matches up well with Apple Studio Display
I have an Apple Studio Display and was using a BenQ PD2705U 4k display with my work and home computer setups. The BenQ worked fine and looked decent but it just wasn't bright enough in my office on sunny days. I was considering a 2nd Studio display but needed a KVM that would allow me to switch between my work MacBook Air and my personal M2 Pro Mac Mini. This works perfectly. Single cable connection to the laptop for charging and display and 2 cables to the mac mini. I have the MacBook air connected via the USB C input to provide power delivery as well as the video feed. I have the Mac Mini connected directly via the HDMI 2.1 output on the Mac Mini, and USB devices are shared via connecting a USB-C from an OWC Thunderbolt 3 hub. This setup appears stable and works well. I do not share my Studio Display with the MacBook air so the Asus is just a shared monitor between these 2 devices that I switch back and forth as needed. The monitor shares almost identical panel height with a Studio Monitor so if you have the 2 setting side by side one doesn't look significantly larger than the other. This is much brighter than my old BenQ monitor and the default display profile is very very very close to the Studio Display's default profile as well. If you pixel peep you can see subtle differences in color but for the most part the 2 displays look identical without a lot of tweaking of settings. The color calibration certificate for mine shows a delta for DCI-P3 or .53. For sRGB it's .65. I saw some reviewers that mentioned light bleed from the backlight. I tested this and if you're really looking, in a dark room, there's a little around the edges of my unit but it's so minimal I think it's a non issue. The connections are relatively sparse compared to the BenQ but there are enough so that I can connect the Logitech Bolt receiver in the USB A under the chin of the monitor and share a mouse and keyboard between the 2 computers wirelessly. The cable management is adequate. It accomplishes the task but you do see the cables when you set the monitor to match the height of the Apple Studio Display. Some reviews I read mentioned that the stock stand is a bit wobbly, that hasn't been my experience. It levels and adjusts relatively easily and isn't particularly wobbly although I do have a very stable 4 legged sit/stand setup so perhaps that contributes to the stability. The buttons in the chin work fine. They aren't as convenient as the puck that BenQ uses but once I had the monitor setup I am usually only using the shortcut to switch inputs. The KVM switches reliably although it does take a few seconds longer than the BenQ. It takes about 6-8 seconds. One quirk I found is that I have to switch my logitech keyboard and mouse to connect to my laptop via bluetooth and provide some input to the laptop if the laptop is closed. If I don't, the KVM's auto sensing doesn't detect the signal and just switches back over to the active input. Other than that one quirk everything works as expected. This is an excellent monitor at an amazing price for what you're getting. It has outstanding video quality and color accuracy. It's 5k so it scales with a mac perfectly. The build quality isn't as good as the Studio Display but it's on par with most other monitors. I am super impressed by this monitor and very happy with my purchase.

Vivid, high quality display
A review from over a year of owning this: I got this to do art and occasionally play games. Refresh rate is great, especially when gaming or editing 60fps videos. Screen is the perfect size for my desk and I love that I can extend it and use it when I’m standing. Color is excellent and I appreciate the ability to check real life dimensions from within the screen. I have no dead pixels and I’ve been using it for over a year with no issue. While the brightness is adjustable and can go pretty high, there’s a bit of screen burn-in (that fades given time) which is to be expected. I generally keep to the default sRGB and lower brightness to avoid this because it can mess with color appearances which isn’t ideal for art. The only major downside of this is that the speakers are really poor quality. I got some cheap, 20+ year old external speakers to plug in because it really was that bad and the cheap external speakers are significantly better. If you are editing videos with audio or like to listen to music while you work, you’ll need headphones or speakers. I’d almost rather this monitor didn’t come with built in speakers as it feels like such a waste for something so poor quality. But I suppose if you just need something to hear alerts or notification sounds, it could be just what you need. Overall, I’m a very happy digital artist with this monitor!

Beautiful Monitor at an affordable price
WOW!!! this monitor has a clearer image than the Apple, which costs a thousand dollars more. Being an Apple snob I wanted to stick to the Apple monitor but the price was to ridiculous. Glad I got the ASUS much higher quality image. It is a little slow to wake up but I can live with that everything else is on the plus side

I just want to start of by saying that I owned 2 of these monitors. Bought 1 from the Amazon Warehouse and the other New from Amazon. I'm an amateur photographer and was looking for a monitor that could provide accurate colours and also be used for occasional gaming. I do occasionally game but I'm very casual at best so I didn't need a high refresh rate monitor, just needed a good in between monitor. Monitor 1 - Used from Amazon Warehouse: I decided to take a gamble and buy a used monitor from Amazon Warehouse. The monitor worked fine, however, I was a little worried about the packaging and the condition that the monitor came in. First off, many of the contents in the box came scrunched up or were not packaged properly (see photo). Does this mean that Amazon doesn't check the quality of the products before shipping it back out? Secondly, the monitor itself had water stains on it. This was a huge concern for me since there might have been water damage (see photo). Lastly, the previous owner of the monitor completely messed up the factory calibration. For some reason there was a strong blue hue. It was as if the previous owner took the blue slider and maxed it out. After spending hours on calibrating the monitor, I finally got the colours that I was happy with, however, the condition that this monitor came in was concerning and not worth the price I paid. Especially since the description mentioned it would be Calman Calibrated, which it doesn't get recalibrated before getting shipped out again. I decided to return it and since I received some giftcards for my birthday, I decided to buy the monitor again but this time in brand new condition. Monitor 2 - Brand new from Amazon: Colours look fantastic right out of the box and everything was packaged correctly. There was also no damage to the box. This is a great monitor for an amateur or professional photographer. There is also a ton of calibration settings that you could use to ensure that you're getting the colours that you want. Final thoughts: Would I have bought this monitor if I didn't have giftcards? Probably not. It's a bit too expensive for me since I'm not at the professional level yet, but since I basically got it for half off, I have to say, that this is a beautiful monitor. 27 inches is the perfect size for editing, gaming or even office work. I didn't think there would be a huge difference in quality between 1080p and 1440p but I was wrong! I don't think I'd go back to 1080p after experiencing 1440p. The 75Hz refresh rate is also a nice touch.

I bought this as a display for a Mac mini for software development. As it has a 5K panel I get the same resolution as I would have got with an Apple Studio Display, so text is crisp, and I get more windows on the desktop than a 4K monitor. The anti glare surface is fine for my office space, and it is more than bright enough for my space at 50% brightness. I use USB-C to connect to the display, so I can also use the built-in hub to connect my webcam, , keyboard, and trackpad. I like the additional USB-A and USB-C ports on the bottom left of the display for occasional use. I usually use a headset or earbuds for calls, so I don't rely on the built in speakers. They work. The 60 Hz refresh rate is fine for me doing development work and I don't game. Great value, and a great replacement for my 4K ASUS ProArt which gave many years of trouble free service.

Product not working out of box. Cannot replace with Amazon - Very difficult asus customer service process. Sad that the humanity and trust in the whole transaction is an amiss. Process Asus needs to visit home in 2-3 days. They will generate product not working document which I need to share with Amazon for replacement. It may take a week but I am not sure. I wonder what happened to faith - you spend for using the product.
