Possbay Shark Fin Antenna, Car AM FM Signal Roof Aerial with Adhesive Tape Universal for BMW VW Car SUV Truck Van (Blue)

Wanted to get rid of that huge antenna mast but didn't want a solution that involved tools. This fit over my old base fine, but I did use two strips of electrical tape to hold the wire down before the coil inside. The coil is a little unnecessary as it just takes up more space, but if your savvy just do what other reviewers did and modify the wire to your liking, or even just a little tape like I did. I got the adhesion onto the base of the product fine, but the adhesive strip does come bent up like other reviewers have mentioned. I also got it screwed in and placed on the roof with no problem. The screw is taller than the treading on my car but other reviewers have mentioned that as well, so get a smaller screw if that bothers you. I do see a slight gap between the plastic and the roof where some of the adhesive strip can be seen in some places, but this is only upon very close inspection and doesn't bother me at all. Standing anywhere around my car this thing looks factory installed and the black gloss just shines amazingly. I won't lie, upon turning my radio on in the driveway I was only able to get one FM channel. It could be due to the longer screw causing a weak connection to the products antenna, or the fact that this isn't as effective as a tall mast. I do live in the country so maybe signal improves when closer to the signals source. Satellite radio came in fine. This isn't a problem for me as I mostly use my cars radio as an AUX for a tablet mounted setup I have in my car. If your main source is FM radio you might want one with dual antenna if you live out in the country. If you mostly use AUX or live in a city than this will be no problem for you. Final thoughts, I'm very satisfied with the product. It definitely makes my Dart stand out and accents the other gloss parts I've installed. Setup was fast and easy, and the final result was definitely worth the money and tape for me.

Shark fin broke off on 2015 Hyundai Sonata after freezing temps and snow. Car is out of warranty and the dealership doesn’t replace covers, they replace the entire assembly. My car has 177,000 miles on it so I couldn’t justify spending money on the entire assembly. I was worried about this shark fin replacement fitting and my radio and nav system working but took my chances. This shark fin cover fits and my radio/nav system works well. I didn’t hook any wires up or do anything special because I truly just don’t care and just wanted the electrical board covered. So, I gorilla glued the bottom of the shark fin and covered the electrical board with the fin. I let that sit for a couple days and didn’t drive my car then sealed it with black silicone all around. I let this sit for 15 hours overnight. I woke up and there was frost all over my car and the fin so I thought it would break off. But had to go to work so I took my chances! All was well and I drive on the highway and it didn’t fly off. It is extremely secure, fits and covers the board, and the radio/nav system still works!! If you don’t have gorilla glue or black silicone, JB weld would work fine too.

Gave the look I wanted but the radio reception tanked. What was 100% clear with the original antenna became fuzzy most of my work drive. And about 10min of my 40min dive had no FM radio channels except 1 of the 15+ I normally get. Just yanked it off and tossed it in the trash where it belongs.

Works well. Installation was a bit difficult. The sticky pad needs to be thicker. Looks good, works good and was inexpensive.

I probably should have created a Youtube video for this. My wife's car antenna fell victim to the car wash. It was literally ripped off the connector. No screw in connector to be found. Typically the only options would be to do a 1 for 1 replace by removing the rear trim, detach a portion of the headliner, and replace the antenna housing by disconnecting it from the roof. The other option would be to install an internal antenna but that would require opening up parts of the center dash to access the stereo to reach the antenna connector for the internal antenna. After which, one would have to route the cable and antenna to an inconspicuous front dash area. Both typical options are a pain in the you know what. Take it to the dealership and it'll cost $200 to $300. The parts themselves are only around $30. I kid you not. I opted for a shark fin replacement antenna that fits over the existing external antenna housing. To get at the antenna connector I had to cut off the top of the antenna housing with a Dremel. Once the housing was removed, it was only a matter of connecting the shark fin's connector to the antenna housing's connector. Note, you will have to use solder or wire to complete the connection because the screw is no longer there (due to it being ripped out). Oh, I only gave the antenna 4 stars because of the "just okay" reception. Looks great, however! Hope this helps!

Didn’t fit my car but they quality seems good unfortunately it said it would fit my car but that was from Amazon and not from the company I believe the product is of good quality though I can’t speak to its performance

Used to cover the antenna assembly of a Hyundai Santa Fe 2019. Antenna got lost, probably on a car wash visit, also noticed that the previous antenna base plastic holes for the internal screws were broken, probably by wear and tear. Antenna replacement is expensive and would have required working from the interior. Then came this solution, verified the size before buying and noticed it will effectively cover the whole base. Installation was done in less than 5 minutes. Just be aware, verify the dimensiones prior ordering. Will update the review after a while to inform about quality and durability.

Was easy to install on my 2014 Explorer. Looks good and works great. I got it to replace the tall wire antenna so there wouldn't be any issues at the car wash. I originally replaced the old wire antenna with the 2" stubby but it had poor reception. This one is the best antenna to use

Very nice product, was very happy but after couple days the double sided tape started lifting (I did clean the surface with alcohol before installing). Now going to have to go buy some mounting tape at local hardware store since Amazon can’t just ship me the tape.

My new garage door meant I had to remove the existing aerial to avoid hitting the door on entering. This shark fin replacement solved the problem, the white finish matched the paint work of my Kia Venga and therefore gave a factory finish look. Reception of radio channels was also very much improved and places where I used to get dead spots are now picking up a reception. In my case I really can't fault the product especially at the price
