Founded in 1978, A Filetta has produced fifteen albums and is one of the leading choral groups in Corsica. Consisting of six male voices, this extraordinarily creative group perpetuates the island's oral traditions while also exploring other areas of polyphonic song, particularly in the creation of contemporary works. The religious and secular pieces on Castelli were written for theater, dance and film. They explore the themes of memory, nostalgia and utopia, all while questioning the meaning of life.
