Cadmium Free Yellow: Purr-fectly Safe and Brilliantly Bright!
Cadmium Free Yellow: Purr-fectly Safe and Brilliantly Bright! I have cats and one of them loves to dip her paws into my dirty paint water jar… so I try to avoid anything toxic (especially cadmium) whenever possible. I’m glad Windsor and Newton has a line of alternative cadmium free hues. Cadmium free yellow was exactly what I needed for a tutorial I was following. The color looks essentially identical to its cadmium counterpart and still offers great results. In short, it’s a safer choice that doesn’t compromise on quality. My artwork (and my curious cat) both thank me! Edit: Reviews for additional colors Quinacridone Magenta: Perfect Magenta for a Clean, Vibrant CMYK Watercolor Palette I wanted to create a limited CMYK-style watercolor palette for travel, and after some research, I decided on Quinacridone Magenta as my “M.” I already owned a version from another reputable brand that used PR202, but I found it a bit too dull and dark for my taste. After comparing options, I chose Winsor & Newton’s Quinacridone Magenta, which uses PR122—and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The color is bright, transparent, and mixes beautifully with my lemon yellow and Phthalo Blue (green shade), producing clean, vibrant secondary colors without any muddiness. This pigment has become a staple in my portable palette and has truly elevated my color mixing experience. Highly recommend it to anyone building a compact, high-quality travel set! Yellow Ochre: A Must-Have Color for Any Watercolor Beginner I’m currently learning watercolors, and the tutorial book I’ve been using calls for Yellow Ochre in nearly every project. After working with it, I completely understand why. This warm, earthy yellow is incredibly versatile. I’ve used it in landscapes, food illustrations, animal studies, and more and it pairs beautifully with burnt umber. I’m continually discovering new ways Yellow Ochre enhances a painting. Its semi-opaque, granulating quality adds great texture and depth, and since it’s made from a single pigment (PY43), it behaves predictably and mixes cleanly. With excellent lightfastness on top of all that, it’s become an essential part of my palette— and it’s staying there for good!

Excellent professional paint.
Excellent professional paint. It might seem expensive for such a small tube but it lasts forever. It is vibrant and gives professional results.

good paint but trust who you are buying it from
This is a great bright pink that flows well. I unfortunately bought it from amazonwarehouse and the descriptor of 'mint' was very inaccurate. It came obviously wrinkled as if squeeze and with a dried ring of paint that had leaked out. It exploded out when I opened it to check it so i got a mess. This is one of several recent orders, most new but one other from the warehouse, that have been shipped to me damaged or used when specified new or mint. The shipping containers for all did not show damage so it appears they were just sent like that. I would recommend this paint color for something you want to make 'pop' as it is a very rich paint. I would advise being careful you you are buying from so you actually get a full tube.

My FAVORITE PV14 Cobalt Violet!
My FAVORITE PV14 to mix ALL of my Violet-based, granulating convenience colors! This 14ml tube lasts me for quite some time, so for me it's worth the investment! It mixes with warm Reds and cool Blues so beautifully! And using a PO73+PB29 together with it creates watercolor magic! I took a picture under natural daylight so you can see just how pretty this color is.

Qualty paint for beginners or experienced artists
Great paint!! Make sure you check the size you are ordering. I ordered a tiny tini tube (smaller than my little finger) accidently. Always great paint, smooth, blends well but you need to order the correct size! :)
