Absolutely does a perfect job filtering and providing a home for beneficial bacteria. I'm not only using it in my pond but also in my African cichlid fx6 filter. Will buy again if ever needed to replace.

Great course filter material exactly what I needed

I like this material, but it clogs easily and has to be cleaned a lot with high flow systems (1100gph or more). I finally just started using it to polish the water after primary filtration with Blue Koral pads. It leaves your water crystal but takes a lot of maintenance if your filtering larger fishy volumes. Not real easy to clean because its so thick, used a pressure washer for best effect, but that's a lot of effort to clean a filter pad. Still, works fantastic!

I mix the white (fine) and black (coarse) filter material and it does a very good job of filtering my pond. I think it will last a very long time before it needs replaced.

They are denser, filtrate better than originals and are easy to cut to size. Great value!
