I had misplaced one of these I had from 20 years ago and ordered these. Of course as Murphy goes, I find the old one after the new ones arrive. I just tried to inflate a new tire with the old one and could not get a seal. Thought I was going nuts or broke the stupid Presta valve. Then I saw that the old one had a shorter neck. Screwed one of these babies on and voila (it was for a French bike made by Peugeot), tire inflates like you would expect. Overall design is just right, what more can you ask!

The inner diameter of the tube with thread inside is too small. The lock nut of the valve might not fit, so it might seem it screwed all the way in, but when a pump attached it starts leaking air.The solution is to force the adapter onto the valve while the lock nut is screwed in (valve is closed), it will grind off necessary amount of metal from adapter and it should work fine after that. I'd recommend use and old tube with presta valve If you have any just so it doesn't mess up your good valve in case something goes wrong.Original 1 star review:The rubber o-ring is useless, it's too small and leaks air.I'm returning this crap.

Garbage. O-Ring blew out the first time I used the cap. Was just getting to 90psi on my tires with max PSI of 120.

it doesn't actually fit bicycle presta valves. You have to pull out the o-ring to make it wide enough but then it doesn't seal right. I wanted to return it but I lost one. oops.

Worked as expected, now easier to inflate tires on my bike.

Nice looking, very useful.

They add a little more flare to the looks of my bike.
