Good for Elantra 2012
Used a pair of these to replace the worn out speakers of a Hyundai Elantra 2012.Don't expect amazing performance, they are just as good as the original the car comes with. The materials are great and are durable.

Hear me out, because you're going to think I'm partially deaf or don't know what I'm doing. These are the best 6.5's I've ever installed. Keep in mind, the acoustics of car doors can vary wildly from car to car, so factor that into what I'm about to say. My car is a Mitsubishi Outlander. As placeholders, I threw some Sony 6.5's in all four doors. When I finally had the time and motivation to do a complete system overhaul, I cycled through several sets of speakers over the better part of a year. I tried JBL GTO's, Infinity Kappas, Infinity References, Alpine S-series... The variation of RMS pushing to all of these was from 20-75 watts. All of the speakers tested were right in the golden range for matching 50-80w RMS. All of these speakers were pushed by the following 3 amps, in this order: Sony ax7000 55w RMS x4, Sony ax6000 20w RMS x4, and Kenwood Excelon x802-5 50w RMS x 4 + 300w x 1 @4ohms & 75 watts RMS x 4 + 500 watts RMS x 1 @2ohms. So as you can see, these speakers have been both very under and very overpowered by 3 different high-end mini class D amplifiers (the 75w RMS @2ohm bridged did start to overheat the voice coils on these though).Shortcomings of the others compared to these? Bass response was anemic to sloppy in comparison. Sibilance was almost impossible to EQ or crossover out of the others. The alternatives, even the JBL with the 3ohm circuit engaged, were quieter! The Alpines I could understand, with a rated RMS of ~80w, but the others were within ~10w RMS of these, and very noticeably quieter... At 50w RMS, max volume, sending a 5v preamp signal to a mean and clean Kenwood 5-channel through Stinger RCA's and returning to the harness via OFC 9-wire, these absolutely dusted the competition. Yeah, I couldn't believe it either... I felt like an idiot for spending hundreds of dollars on the others, and assuming these would obviously be inferior at less that half the price.I'm 100% sure these are giving me consensual hearing damage at full volume, with little to no distortion. I have the front waves bass-blocked, a thin foam damper between the mounting ring and rubber rain pod they're mounted through, and another thick foam bass block between the back of the rain pod and door cavity. For what it's worth, the built-in DSP, graphic EQ, and graphic crossover of the ax6000 have really helped me push these things to the limit and get the best out of them. I cannot recommend these enough. I feel like I found a cheat code. If you're not trying to push ~70w RMS to each of these, they should be stable and powerful performers. And honestly, if you're pushing that much to 6.5 door coaxials and it's not for a comp, you're probably just trying to force some extra mid-bass out of your door speakers, which would be better gone about by different means (re: 8" subs/tweeterless 1-ways with satellite tweeters/installing high RMS components and sound deadening your doors/etc). And yes, I'm aware that Harmon Kardon owns every brand I listed, aside from Alpine. For real, try these. Do a simple A-B (left door-right door) test between these and whatever else you were considering. You're reading this review on Amazon, so you should already know how easy it is to send them back. I read that the Infinity Primus line was their budget offering, but now I'm thinking it's really their sleeper lineup.Pros: Clean highs, easy to EQ out sibilance. Smooth 50hz+ response (just set your crossover slope correctly). Strong presence in the mid-high hz when pushed. Can take a beating. Very tunable. Shockingly inexpensive.Cons: Not knowing about them sooner/being heavily overshadowed by their more well-known siblings (Kappa/Reference series). If you feel so inclined, please hit that "helpful" button! :)

Excellent
I installed these in my son's Civic as the original equipment speakers are about as CHEAP as one can imagine! They literally didn't weigh much more than 1 ounce, which has to be hard to do with a 6.5" speaker! The magnets on the original speakers were roughly 1" in diameter though there was no mass to them and the sound quality in that car was HORRIFIC before.I install custom, high end stereos for people when I am feeling well enough to do so (disabled veteran) and I've been selling Infiniti's high end speakers for almost 20 years. These are not their top line speaker but honestly, unless you were to drive these very hard with an amplifier, you wouldn't know they're pretty much Infiniti's budget line of speaker! These are in a Civic in the doors as well as the rear deck. There is a 25w/channel amplifier driving them as well as a powered 10" subwoofer underneath the driver's seat. The sound quality in this car is now acceptable, and my son could not be more thrilled with the sound! With the original speakers he had to have the stereo up about as loud as it would go just to be able to hear music on the highway. With these he has the stereo on no more than 15-20% volume and the sound is excellent. For anyone who is looking for a clean sounding speaker with reasonable mid-bass response and a crystal-clear tweeter for the upper mids and highs, you will not regret buying these speakers. Infiniti indeed makes speakers even better than these, but for the dollar, these speakers are OUTSTANDING! Whether you're only replacing the original speakers or even if you're adding an aftermarket head unit, a 4-channel amplifier of moderate power and a powered subwoofer these speakers will give you sound quality infinitely better than the garbage OEM speakers as well as give you a tremendous gain in volume without sounding "tinny" or distorting so long as the amplifier driving them is properly matched to the speakers. You would literally believe that much more money was spent on this stereo in this car, but it is exactly what a kid in college can afford to buy.It is nice to get a great "bang for your buck" every once in a while, and these speakers provide that bang for the buck!

Ininity Quality and Clarity
They deliver excellent sound quality for my anemic OEM Subaru headunit. They pair really well with 6x9 Infinity Kappa front speakers on my '22 Subaru Outback Wilderness. No noticeable speaker distortion or breakup at all.
