Doesn't come with smartphone adaptor
I bought this a a gift for a 8 year old and it is great for her. Unlike a traditional microscope which has more magnification than she could use, this has 10X to 40X magnification which is great for looking at tiny bugs etc, and also has the benefit of being able to focus things that are slightly raised. It's easy for a child to use and focus and the interchangeable eyepieces are easy to swap as they just drop into place. She has already spent several hours looking at little things through it. Although it comes with a light it worked fine just using the reflected light coming through the window. It seems fairly sturdy and of reasonable quality, and I am very happy with the microscope.However, unfortunately despite being advertised as having a smartphone adaptor it does not include one, and there is no space in the packaging for one either, so it wasn't just missing it. I queried this with the supplier who replied that they did not have any smartphone adaptors and to buy one myself separately or return the item! So they know that they cannot supply the adaptor, but are still currently advertising it.That said, we are still more than happy with the actual microscope itself and would recommend it as a product if you weren't bothered about having the smartphone adaptor.

Great value first microscope
The microscope feels solid and stable. I was surprised that it has proper glass lenses considering the price. The packaging is very basic but there are few geological samples - small pieces of rocks included to look at. I bought it for my 6 year old and he is thrilled with this gift.

Incorrect description: no phone holder
Nothing wrong with the stereo scope accept the photo and description of phone holder is incorrect.This is not included so returned item as this was the main reason I chose this scope.

Christmas present
Is a Christmas present. Checked it over to make sure it was all ok and tested the lenses. My son is going to have so much fun with this.
