The metal work in the piece on the cheaper side and chromed over. however, for what this costs its fine. The lower clamp is made of blacken metal. The center bolt appears to regular steel versus chrome. The only difference from what is pictured is the bolt for the handlebar clamp is an allen head not a traditional bolt. But if desired a trip to the hardware store an correct this.

I am putting back together a 1950 girls Huffy where original stem was rusted badly. I ordered this item but had to return it as it was the pipe was too small for the application. I wish they would put stuff in inches or fractions of inch as hard to measure. I sent this one back and ordered the correct on.
