Great Everyday Bike
This bike is perfect for what I need. I’ve been on a weight loss journey (100 down and counting). I started by walking, then running, and then I did a lot of HIIT workouts. I got used to being physically active every day, but I felt like I had hit a plateau. I hadn’t had a bike in many years, and I was nervous about getting one. I was worried about finding something comfortable and affordable. One of my big concerns was sturdiness. I am still a large man, and I have about 40-60 lbs I’d like to trim. At 285, I am technically over the stated max rider weight of 275lbs. After getting the bike assembled, the only issue I had was that the seat wasn’t tightened enough, so I used my drill with a socket attachment (and a little adhesive between the locking nuts) to fix that. Now, the bike is everything I’d hoped for. It shifts easily, it feels sturdy under my weight. The breaks are definitely capable of confident deceleration and stopping. And the handlebars... they’re high enough so I don’t have to stoop to grab them, allowing me to ride longer and more comfortably. I have taken it through bike trails worn in the grass, on city streets, clean and rough, and I’ve ridden it out on the county roads among the corn fields. While I’m sure it’s limitations may be more noticeable to seasoned riders, this bike is perfect for riding around town, or out in the country. I will take it into Austin l, once things settle down again. I love it!

More problems than joy. No reason to buy unless your bored and have lots of disposable income.
Kent used to be a decent brand and I was interested that they could offer a seemingly decent commuter bike for this price point, but as it's often said, you get what you pay for. I'm very disappointed that I spent this much for a bike that requires more work time than ride time. Assembly was straight forward. I have had this bike for a little while and put about 250 miles on it so this is a pretty detailed review after significant use. Very inexpensive derailleurs. I'm surprised that Shimano even put their name on them. They need constant tuning and at this point I just avoid using the large gears because I'm sure that they won't shift or will fall off because it's impossible to properly set the limit screws. The front Derailleur cage was slightly bent out of the box, but not warped enough to cause this much or an issue. The twist shifters are also very annoying and since it significantly reduces the size of the grip bars I find myself accidentally shifting when I try to brake. I replaced them with basic Shimano trigger shifters and normal ergonomic grips (+$40) which was much more comfortable and provide more consistent shifting of the rear derailleur (front is still hit or miss). The cassette is fine. Had to take off the front chain guard because I have so many issues with the High limit screw the chain gets stuck between the guard and largest front sprocket. The tires seemed okay, but I have replaced or patched the tubes so many times I suspect they are not as passable as I expected(+$18 for tubes). It seems like I am getting flats for no reason at all (no puncture or pinch flats, proper Psi for the tire recommendation, not hitting any hazards or potholes) so I suspect It needs new tires. The brakes are basic rim brakes and are just fine. They function as expected. The brake pads were very small for a 700c and the pads were already (seemingly) dry rotted and had almost no bite. Replaced them as well (+$14). The seat is okay for slow cruising around a farmers market or something, but awful for actual commuting or doing any distance over a few miles. Replaced with a decent saddle (+$25). The wheels arrived in decent shape. No bent spokes or anything, but did need to true them a little because of some wobble. The frame and front suspension are built pretty solid. The bike is VERY HEAVY. I appreciate that it came with fenders and a rear rack, but I took off the fenders because it was just so heavy. Still a nice feature. Overall it's a good looking frame. So in conclusion, I would avoid this bike. It has cost me more time, money and energy than I would like just to keep it on the road. I have been using it just to get around the neighborhood (less than 6 miles a day) and still having problems with random flats and sloppy/unreliable shifting. The most frustrating part is that it is impossible to return. The time and effort to disassemble and repackage are not realistic. I will likely just replace the tires and hope it resolved the flat issue and suffer through limited gear range. I have already purchased a more reliable bike for extended use.

Fantastic Bike for the Price!!!
I needed a bike but was not willing to spend too much money, nor was I looking for a off road bike. Found this online and loved the styling, reminded me of the bikes of my youth! Similar bicycles, on other sites were going for much more. Decided on this one and glad I did!! Arrival of the bike at my house was delayed a week, I do not blame the shipper but UPS, it was in my city for a week before being delivered. It was pretty easy to assemble, that is if you have some mechanical skills! I did have a mishap while putting it together, not due to the instructions, but my own personal fault. I had the seat too loose and while adjusting it on the bike, the seat post slip down into the frame of the bike, took a day to get it out. After the assembly of the bike, took it on a test ride like the instructions indicate, made few minor adjustments and the bike is perfect for my needs!! I mainly ride on sidewalks or roads so I didn't need over-sized tires for my daily riding. Great bike for a great price!! And the styling of it is fantastic!! Would definitely would recommend and buy again!!

Pretty good bike for the price.
Pretty good bike for the price. You can tell some things like the fenders are a little wonky / cheap, but I was able to bend them into position. Assembly of the brakes was not fun so be prepared for that or making adjustments. Overall, my wife loves it and cruises everywhere with the kids in tote. I recommend picking up some spare tubes while you’re at it. Overall it has a few quirks but it functions just fine and is pretty decent for this price point.

Mostly decent
I was not expecting much as it is on the cheaper end of hybrid bikes, but was a little disappointed. There was no seat post or seat included, and with no apparent way to fix this other than return it I had to go get these from a repair shop. One of the tubes already came with a hole in it. Instructions are not specifically how to build this bike, but rather how to build any bike, leaving you to figure out which steps and instructions apply to you. Overall it is a decent bike, and has ridden well since building it.

So happy I got this bike. Good looking, smooth riding. Good value.
This bike is a great deal. Every gear you could ever need. Large wheels for tall guys like me. This large city bike is light and easy to ride anywhere. It also looks nice. If you are tall, this is for you. As with most bikes you order online, check YouTube for help assembling. However, it does come mostly assembled. Reasonably easy to put together.

After assembling this bike I think most people new to bike mechanics will have a much better understanding of their bicycle and more confidence to fix it yourself! As for the bike itself, tha packaging wasn’t too badly damaged but the rear reflector was shattered. Also there are nicks and scrapes here and there. Not enough to really complain about. It did take some messing with like the brake tension screws and pads, also the brake cables themselves. I learned a little while doing this from YouTube. Follow the instructions and double check your work. And ride! What I noticed most was how smooth the bike rides. The shifters or derailleur on mine need adjusting but I’m not a pro at this stuff, you might have that issue too. I am 6’0” and I have the seat set pretty low still, it’s great to have decent bike that fits! Hope that helps!

when my bicycle arrived i tried to assemble it with instruction booklet, i had to take it all apart as the company pre assembled it wrong. I tried my best to setup the brakes but had to pay a bike shop to do it and was told that the brakes were setup wrong from the start. If your a bike mechanic i would say purchase this bike, if not be prepared to pay someone to do it.

This bike was relatively straight forward to assemble, and I've never assembled a bike before so that's saying something. So long as you have the right tools (hex keys, adjustable wrench and/or box wrenches, scissors/snips, Philips-head screwdriver, pliers), it's fairly straight forward. It's been over 20 years since I last owned a bike, and I've never ordered a bike online so I was a bit apprehensive. The bike arrived in good condition, although I would have liked to see some kind of spacers inside the box, despite the box itself being thick enough to take a beating. Some things of note: - I'm 6'2" and this bike is the perfect size for me. - The seat has a quick latch so adjusting height is easy and tool-less. - The tires are not 29," they are actually 27.5" in edge to edge diameter. I suspected this before buying but it's worth noting. - You will need to adjust the front V-Brakes since you need to loosen them with hex key to install the brake cord into the left handle. You will also need to tune the brakes afterwards with Philips screwdriver and hex key so that both pads move in sync when braking, and so that they are flush with tire rim. All in all I'm pleased with this bike, although I cannot say how durable the bike will be. I'll have to update this review should there be any problems. The bike is priced about right for what you're getting, since they cut corners in a few non-critical areas to keep their costs down. I can say it's a smooth ride and the frame itself is very light weight and sleek. It also looks very nice, so beware of thieves.

I’m not sure why some people left bad reviews about this bike being heavy. Sure, it’s not as light as feather but it’s not heavy. It came with most of the parts assembled and only required few parts to be put together. I’ve had this bike for few weeks and it’s been great.
