Center mount drawer guide
I used for repairing an old chest with heavy drawers. So I used two per drawer, about a 1/4 way from each side. That make alignment from heck. Precise placement was the requirement, but oh so nice now. Tough to dismount as these are friction fit and take some effort to remove from chest after finishing. If your sloppy with your work these will drive you nuts when going double.

It works!
It works. It’s just hard to take the 2 parts apart but I managed to do it with a long flat screw driver and a hammer. Just gently tap the screw driver do the other part will detach of the bearings. Works great and its one of the cheapest out there! It worked on an old antique dresser l!

Not Soft Close
While these are a good replacement for the old T-bar drawer slide, they are not traditional soft close (i.e. slow closure for the last few inches). They are substantial ball bearing operation, just not soft close.

dont waste your time
im so frustrated with these! ive been trying to repair a dresser and the first time i ordered one of this pull, to see if it would fit my dresser, but its impossible to separate the halves. no one in our house could. i assume its a defective or bent one, so i returned it and tried to order again and see if i would get a good one. this time i ordered a set of 5, since i need 5 anyway in the end and it appears to be the right size. it got delivered today and they didnt sent five, they sent ONE. and on top of that, it appears to be a return! because instead of being wrapped well like the first one, its in a baggie with the foam padding all detached.to add further insult these are definitely *not* soft close, as there is no mechanism for it, its a friction fit. if you ever can get the things apart, good luck removing drawers one installed, as it seems like theyll be locked in too tight.it should not be this hard to get the correct, functional item i paid for, i dont recommend unless you love to waste your time ordering and returning. and now i have to drive an hour round trip to bring the friggin thing back to a whole foods -_-

Slide Selection and Installation Tips
A five-drawer dresser was upgraded from wooden to metal slides. Some retrofitting was required but very happy with the end result. When ordering slides, base it on the cabinet size and not the drawer size as shown in the chart. I needed a slide spanning from the front stretcher to the rear stretcher. I initially ordered a 16-inch slide based on drawer size. It was too short for the cabinet even when using the rear adjustable bracket which adds up to 2 inches. An 18-inch slide fit the cabinet from front to rear. Shims were needed on the drawers to provide the required 1/4 inch spacing from the bottom of the drawer sides. The drawer rail can extend beyond the end of the drawer. The supplied plastic slides supporting the drawer sides came with an imbedded nail (thumb tack design). The nail was cut off and epoxy glue provided firm adhesion and even strengthened the cabinet. The front panels were cut with a table saw to provide the recommended 1/8-inch clearance on the top and bottom. Final recommendation: purchase one slide for your project and confirm it will work before ordering the rest.

Hard to install
Maybe these are easier for actual cabinets, but i found them very hard to install in a nightstand. If you don’t already have a center support, don’t bother with them. I had to make a center support within the nightstands I was trying to put them in. Spent 2 hours just getting one installed. If stores close by had center under mount drawer slides i would return these. When they are installed they slide great, but god forbid you have to remove a drawer. I nearly broke a drawer trying to get it out. Maybe it’s all use error, but better off just getting the wooden slides in my opinion.

Do the slide
They’re okay. They’re just drawers slides. Installation was once you know how to install them and they’re pretty smooth. But be careful, amazon, not the seller, sent me 3 that’s were LPNs which means that they were previously returned and one of the back brackets was bent like crazy so all I did was bend it back in place. These are usually more expensive at other places like Lowe’s so the price is even. They close easily. Overall would recommend

Quality materials
Glad I took time to read reviews with some details. Pulling the track apart for installation had me nervous I'd break something - don't worry. Pull repeatedly in the direction it slides and it will release. Some skill and proper tools may be needed to install. If it works as is in your unit, great! Mine was a Young American chest of drawers. I needed to shim under the track and cut the wood opening wider at the receiving end of the drawer. Easy once I realized what needed to be done but I have construction background and the tools to make it easy. The drawer side rail extended a couple inches too far it seemed and expected to trim it but tried putting the drawer in first and it was fine.
