Easy to put together, stays upright.
I'm a young woman with joint stability issues. My back and neck aren't strong and often my wrists hurt on days when I blow my hair dry. I had to make room on a little table in my bedroom for this, but it works well. I can sit in front of it and turn my head side to side to dry my hair. It's fairly stable, although a little push will knock it over. It wasn't hard to put together at all, although the instructions could have been bigger.

FLIMSY DOES NOT STAY UPRIGHT. USE LIGHTEST WEIGHT DRYER ONLY
I read all the reviews thinking I would take my chances but alas, it does not hold the weight of my Babyliss Pro hair dryer, it simply fell/tipped over upon first use. The base isn't sturdy/heavy enough. Still disappointing. Now that I've bent the rod it's super bendy and won't hold it's shape at all. I will probably end up tossing this in the dumpster or putting it in the back of my closet, which is a shame because I really wanted a hands-free tool as another option to help me style my digital perm.I even resorted to using a space heater which fried my hair but having the use of two hands to style and twist the strands is what I prefer. I heard someone say they used a clamp but I can't see a way I could do this on my dressing table. I guess I could try putting a stack of textbooks on top of the base or a heavy doorstop but that wouldn't be very attractive...Even if I did the rod would just droop I think with the weight of my dryer.Plus there were really no instructions except the description on the outside of the box...I found this extra silver plastic rod thingy inside the box so I stuffed it inside the rod thinking maybe that would help stabilize it (I assume that's why it was in there) and it did make the rod slightly less bendy I think but only slightly, and it didn't help with the balance issue as the base is simply not sturdy enough and it still tips over. Too bad guess I will keep searching or buy one of those crazy hood dryers.I did try putting my lightest weight travel dryer and it seemed to hold that one just fine. But that dryer doesn't work with the curl diffuser I need so guess I'm stuck with using one hand. I guess it worked out in the end because I found a diffuser that twists the hair for me so I don't need both hands. I feel sorry for anyone who purchased this and really needed it because of a broken arm or disability. Hope it works for you, but buyer beware! Just make sure you use the lightest dryer possible.

This stand is awesome!
This stand is fantastic! It is sturdy, holds the dryer right where you need it, and the adjustable gooseneck allows you to angle it any way you need to. I was able to straighten my very curly hair with the dryer and a round brush in less than 15 minutes, and only had to touch-up with the flat iron instead of spending another 30 minutes with the iron.

hair dryer stand
This stand is OK, but needs to have something weighted on the bottom feet otherwise it falls over a lot (taking the hairdryer with it!) Otherwise when it is in one position without having to move it, it performed quite well with one good arm working the hairdryer.

Hair Dryer Stand - As Advertised
I purchased the stand for my wife who was about to undergo rotator cuff surgery on her left shoulder. Reviews I had seen on Amazon indicated that this stand was excellent for the purpose of supporting a hairdryer for shoulder surgery patients. It simple. It is easy to assemble. It is light weight, sturdy and stable. It performs as advertised. My wife approves. The highest praise possible.

A good stand is hard to find. This ain't it.
My wife really appreciates having this hair dryer stand when she begins to dry her hair. However, ultimately it tips over and the method for securing the hair dryer to the stand is shaky at best. Placing a heavy item on the base of the stand resolves the tip-over problem but I haven't come up with a fix for the other issue at the top end.If I could find a better, studier hair dryer stand, I would buy it. Meanwhile, this is what is available and it's better than nothing.

Time-saver....NOT!!
I was expecting it to save me time in the mornings when getting ready for work. It ended doing the opposite and added an additional 5-8mins to my morning routine which doesn't help me in any way.I was naive to think this would solve all my hair drying problems. When the holder was delivered I was so gongho and ready to use it. It took me a few days to get kind of use to it. But ultimately, it really was a nuisance rather than helpful. I'm 5'2 and I have this holder sitting on my bathroom counter. It doesn't feel super sturdy and it just doesn't feel safe holding up my $25 cheap blow dryer. I have to angle the top wire to hold it just right and even then, it's just an odd angle.I wanted to return it but its not that easy as putting it back in the box, checking off why I don't like it, and sending it. U have to contact the company within 30 days and etc. I didn't even try to be honest. Just figured I'd let them keep my money in this s***ty economy. Ill just keep the holder in case I ever break one of my arms as a backup plan. OR if I need to beat the tar out of someone, it could be helpful for that too.

Stand Worked Great
Stand worked great after my shoulder surgery. No trouble with it tipping, but you could throw a heavy book on the base if you have a heavy hairdryer. I left the stretchy band off so I could easily pick the hairdryer up out of the stand with my good arm if I wanted to. Husband worked the curling iron for me - a little terrifying but appreciated!
