Great quality chalk paint
This is great quality, chalk paint really goes on smooth. It's thick enough for good coverage and exactly the color black I was looking for it is prettyaffordably priced, and arrived quickly I'm very happy with my purchase

Great paint
Refurbished a vintage enamel top table and used this chalk paint on the base. Turned out nice. For a cheap paint this stuff beats out some of the pricier brands. I've used this stuff many times and it never disappoints

Good coverage
Product works well for crafts. A thicker consistency that can be watered down if needed. I use it to paint items before decoupaging. I've used it on glass and wood with great results. It is a nice white that dries easily without streaks. Easy water clean up. It is durable when given time to dry well. I didn't notice a strong smell.

Will require a clear coat finish.
This is a cheaper brand and not as durable as the Dixie Belle products but it does what you need it to. I purchased it to mix with Dixie Belle Coffee Bean because I wanted a darker color but not quit black. I also didn't want to pay as much. The 2 colors together came out perfect. This IS a cheaper brand though because by itself it came off on my brush when I applied clear coat where as the Dixie Belle did not. Great for mixing though if you want to save a couple of bucks. Very forgiving. Nice ultra matte finish with no sheen whatsoever.

This paint is so great to work with, you hardly need any paint on the brush, usually only need 1 or maximum 2 coats, the colour is like a true ivory cream and just spreads like butter. Love it, even more than the more boutique paint brands and when this is on special it is even better.

I’ve used Annie Sloan in the past but they just cost too much so now I’m trying this and I’m liking it. Really not much of a difference in terms of texture. The thing with chalk paint is they’re always gonna be very thick no matter the brand - undiluted you’ll get too much onto one spot and be desperately applying elbow grease to spread the paint around. So I always mix in some water till I get a good consistency to work with. It took 2 coats for good coverage and a bit more here and there for touch ups and the paint never got too thick to cause an issue. The color: I read many complaining that the sage color is more bluish than green and that’s actually the color I wanted. So if you’re looking for true sage green this is not it. This looks more like the cooler toned eucalyptus, actually even bluer than that. Or a duck egg blue. This brings me to one major complaint I have which is not about the product but the marketing by folkart. There is no place online to find a good color sample/representation of the colors. Even on their own website their so-called color reference swatches were done with the one same photo of a painted piece of moulding that was digitally tinted into different colors using very bad photoshop skills. That’s rather appalling considering theyre an art supplies company. Packing: I was worried about spills since I’ve read about many incidences of paint spilling all over the box and mine was to be shipped halfway across the world, but luckily I had just a little bit of dried paint marks at the base of the box and the 2 bottles I ordered survived the trip. In fact the paper foil that sealed the top appeared to be still intact so I’m surprised there was even a leakage.
