Fabulous book . All about near death experiences but mainly from the 70s. Offered me alot of peace and hope during grief. Woukd read over and over. Love Peter Fenwicks work.

A very good book with detailed research into Near Death Experiences.The only reason I gave 4 Stars and not 5 was a personal thing as I was interest in reading accounts of those who had encountered NDE. In saying that the author did the right thing in having a Chapter or two looking into the arguments about NDE been attributed to medical or other natural phenomea as this may well appeal to other readers.

Worth reading if you want to find out more about NDEs and survival of consciousness after death. This is written by a Psychiatrist and approaches the subject from an open-minded scientific view. I Liked the writing style, it is easy to read and not full of medical jargon. Set me up to read more on this subject. Would recommend

This book is not just tales told by those who have experienced the nde but its also a very deep look into what takes place and some possible reasons why it happens. It gives a lot of ideas to ponder on about the nde ie...brain playing tricks to those who cannot see while in the body yet can when having the nde,childrens nde,s and a whole lot more,you wont tire of this book at all,ive read a lot and this is one of the best for those just setting out on the journey to truth in the light.

Very interesting information! I definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in this stuff! It gives you an insight to what you can expect and even help you create your own death experience when you know what to expect and are ready for it :-)

Well written spiritually uplifting book which using evidence from hundreds of Near Death Experiences brings hope of the existance of heaven. It reflects that we have purpose in life and not to be frightened by our inevitable death.

This book contains much in the way of scientific analysis of the subject - with a resounding conclusion that there is indeed "something" happening after death.

An immensely important book for me, written impressively and authoritatively by a professional neurologist.
