Star Wars: Fascinating Facts

even a long-time fan will find some interesting bits here
I am a long-time Star Wars fan and collector and I still found some new little bits of info here, or info presented from a different perspective. What I liked best is that the facts are mix of "in-universe" facts (specs on X-Wings, TIE fighters, etc) and "real world" facts (behind the scenes/making of... impact in pop culture). Most entries are only a single page, so this book is perfect to read in short stints. Recommended for Star Wars fans of all ages.

Who even is the audience for this?
If this was marketed for complete Star Wars beginners, people who just started watching the movies and had never paid attention to anything relating to Star Wars before...it would still disappoint them. This book, off of my impressions because I don't plan to read it a second time to get an actual count, is about 60% stuff you can easily find on Wookiepedia, 20% weird factoids about advertising that would only be good if you were doing some very hardcore trivia game (and even then most of them I already knew), 10% repeated mentions of random people who aren't that important who the author seems somewhat fixated on, and 10% sucking up to Lucas/Disney. Barely any of the information in the book is new and, if you own other books like the visual dictionaries, the encyclopedias, that sort of thing, the information in this book that's already given in those is actually worse than what you already have.I got this book because of the timelines, hoping for some new canon. And there is, teeny amounts (why anyone needs the majority of the characters' tiny timelines to be taken up by bullet pointed summaries of the movies, basically the only thing you can always find accurate timelines of already, I'm unsure) of new information, most of which was very badly considered when you actually sit back and think of it (there's one very obvious example, but I'm not sure if mentioning what's contained in a trivia book counts as a spoiler, suffice it to say it looks really bad in the actual context).I would not recommend this to anyone, not even collectors, not someone trying to get someone into Star Wars...maybe I would recommend it for a child obsessed with advertising campaign trivia? Otherwise, just search for this information on the web.

Nothing to see here, move along.
If you have been a Star Wars fan for any length of time there really isn’t much new material in this book for you. All this info can be found in the numerous documentaries that have been made, J.W. Rinzler’s books or the recent Art of books that have been made for the newer films. If you know absolutely nothing on the making of Star Wars you will really enjoy this book but for long time fans you have seen most of this before.Edit: In this book Pablo says some of the ideas used for the sequel trilogy came from the outlines that George Lucas had for the sequel trilogy which seemed to me to be an attempt to smooth things over since the sequel trilogy has not been well received by the fandom. But after reading The Star Wars Archives. 1999-2005 I question the truthfulness of this book. In the Archives book Lucas was interviewed after Disney bought Star Wars and the story Lucas tells about his plans for the sequel trilogy do not sound anything like what we saw on the screen.

Many mistakes
There are so many inconsistencies in the book that it’s frustrating. You read something on one page and then pages later, the fact is changed. I would not have bought it if I knew it was not throughly proofread.

Me en-can-ta
Muy entretenido, lleno de curiosidades. Para fans de Star Wars. Eso sí, un poco corto para mi gusto, estoy segura de q 11 películas más todas las series dan para muchas más anécdotas.
