This is a great item, only problem it does not come with any certification.Working in the pharmaceutical field, it is a necessity. I now have to send it to be certified as I cannot use as is.

Type K, most universal and cheapest probes around most industries. Weirdly my work is type J.The probe that comes with it is plastic jacket so don't try to push it high on the temps. Fiberglass braid ones are cheap to find if you need a few more degrees of range.I would say the probe is mostly for hvac and other temperatures below 200*f. Excellent unit. Stands up to the Fluke name. Fluke has been my tool of choice for years in the multimeter format. Now I can add this temperature to my list of great tools to have.
