Great Light and Service.
Let me start out by saying that I don't usually like to leave reviews unless I've used a product for a decent amount of time. I bought this light about two years ago. I'll start this review with the pros. I'm a contractor and was looking for something that was bright and wouldn't get hot. I was also looking for something that was compact so it wouldn't take up too much room in my usually full truck. This was the perfect solution. The light heads swivel in any direction so that I can redirect the light to the ceiling, floors or anywear that I really need it. The light has two telescopic poles which make the height adjustable. The built in clamps to tighten the poles are sturdy and easy to use. The cord winds up tight and the plug end snaps in neatly which is important because there's nothing worse than a loose cord getting buried under other tools in the truck. Now the best part of the light is how it compact it becomes when it folds up, and consequently the space it saves in my truck, versus another light. It looks like a high tech cylinder gadget and my intrigued customers frequently ask about it, curious to know what it is. To me, it kind of looks like a mini rocket launcher, so I jokingly use that as an answer, before I unpack the light. My customers love it. But now, the only bad. After almost two years, one of the lights developed an internal loose wire. So, depending on how it was turned, it would intermittently stop working. I figured that after almost two years of work, this was not totally unexpected and I'd just take it apart to fix the loose wire or connection. But then, I remembered that I thought this came with a two year warranty and I had owned the light just short of that. No the pros, again. I contacted the company via email and explained the situation. I waited for a couple of weeks but didn't see a response, so I decided to resend my email. This time they responded within the day, apologizing the I didn't get an earlier reply. They asked if I could forward the purchase information as well as a picture of the light. I sent the Amazon order info and two pictures to the light, showing the problem. They responded again, within 24 hours, and told me they were shipping a new unit. When I asked if I should ship them the old one back, they said no, I should keep it. I now have two lights and will try to fix the original as soon as I get time. When I do, I try to update this review to let you know where the problem was. Based on the time and amount that I used the first light, even without the replacement, I would have highly recommended this light. Based on the customer service I received as well as the second replacement light, I can only say that I am a very happy customer. I would not hesitate to purchase this light from this company.

So happy to retire my halogen work lights!
I'm an old-school guy that loved my 500-watt halogens for painting, plastering and other projects -- until one of those old lights started tripping a GFCI circuit. I searched the web and found this Lutec light, and I am SO glad I bought it. The tripod stand is sturdy, the height adjustments easy, and the lights are plenty bright and easily adjusted to illuminate a work area. A key capability for me is the ability to point the lights downward to the floor or straight up to the ceiling. Over the past two months, I've prepped newly plastered ceilings and walls for priming, and then primed and painted those walls. While working, I set up the lights so I could have a raking light across the surface, enabling easy detection of plaster imperfections, roller lines, paint drips, etc. upping the quality of my work and minimizing "ooops" surprises after the work was done. The light stand is easy to move around - it's all aluminum, lightweight and very stable - and the lights themselves were simple to swivel into place. When I rolled paint from floor to ceiling, I positioned one light high on the wall and the other low, and had a nice, even coverage of light across the work surface. Each lights cast a fairly large flood area (rather than an eye-burning spot on a small area). I'd say the flood light cone is 30+ degrees. I have an appreciation of smart engineering and fine craftsmanship, and this light delivers both. From the compact folded design to the chunky heat sinks on the lights, to the switch, the swivels, the tripod legs, the finishing of the metal -- it's all there. Someone set out to make a light with enduring quality and they absolutely succeeded. This is not a paid or compensated review -- this is a real purchaser that is extremely happy with a product.

My first impression out of the box is like other reviews, seems well built and sturdy. The thumb clamps, telescoping post and legs work nicely. Set up and breakdown are a piece of cake. It should travel and store easily. There is a sweet cord wrap that includes a termination point to clamp the plug in place instead of futilely wrapping the plug in a half knot around itself and having it dangle loose. Also included is an hex wrench to adjust the light heads if needed, with a cool magnetic storage place right next to where you need it. The lighting head lacks a bit of adjustability compared to some other models, but doesn't take anything away from the quality of this light. Ok, time to address the elephant in the room. This thing is as bright as I imagine a solar flare to be. I have no doubt eye contact with this for more than an instant will cause sight damage. I have a 7000 lumens job light I have been using that is perfectly adequate brightness. I figured the extra 2000 lumens would be gravy. Oh boy is it ever. I haven't used this on the job site yet (I am a painting contractor) but look forward to it. This will be in use every day and I will update in a few months as to its durability and practical function. But right now I love the light. Super bright and thoughtfully engineered. 10/10
