Smart Color Art 100 Colors Gel Pens Set for Adult Coloring Books Drawing Painting Writing

Unfortunately the unit came with colors smeared everywhere inside from leaking pens! Box it came in wasn't damaged or dented, just looks like someone slapped a couple hands full of gel pens in. Lids sort of on, but I cannot imagine how anyone could have missed the lack of quality- let alone useability. I actually have them sitting in storage because I'm afraid to donate them to kids for safety issues. Real shame. Was really hoping for some basic quality.UPDATE: Without any prompting from me, company contacted (via Amazon provided email). To- Now sit down for this part -to APOLOGIZE & ask if there was anything they could do to make me happy, based on my negative review. Took them 3 tries; as I ignored the first two (figuring if the junk they sent was indicative of their quality then what's the point except to warn others). Well, no ridiculous proof needed for them to believe me, no "return them, buy a new set, THEN get refund on bad set once they receive it & I'm out another order and shipping amount" game. Nope. They went above and behind, offered to simply send a replacement set. No new shipping, no games. What I received was a completely different animal. All quality, no leaks, great colors, no missing, broken or inside leaks in canister. So I now must amend to a 5! Giving the benefit of the doubt that this IS what is sent to all orders. Just know the container is flimsy, not used for regular storage; (which I had hoped for because it shows all easily grabbable pens and would be both terrific storage and useful for when using pens). Because of their follow up & persistence I have amended to a 5, where it likely is a 4 because first one did after all, get sent & meh storage. Prefer container not meant as storage to be mentioned in description. I'd have still purchased knowing that and been happy. But again, I had not complained, (& this wasn't like it was hundreds of dollars being spent with them; just a regular mid range first purchase with them, hundreds with Amazon & their other vendors), a vendor noticed and CARED. How often can a customer say that nowadays?! The pens are gorgeous, few meh colors, mostly perfect. Only a few skips but I feel that may be due to my being left handed - so far nothing colors my hand as I'm working with them either. Big plus! This company defines great people.Very happily surprised with renewed faith that decent companies (that don't make a new customer jump through hoops to be believed and more than satisfied) do exist. I'd buy from them again for this product: for the customer service personnel, final product beyond expectations especially given the night and day difference from the original set received. Replacement received was timely with no extra shipping charges. Hopefully the QA person was fired, & that this set is now the actual correct product for all, not just sent for poor reviews. The first set sent seems almost like a bad joke.I love this company.

I love these pens. This was my first purchase of a non-known brand. Until now, I have only used the name brand, artist quality products. I use them for Bible journaling, zentangle, dangle, and tangle art. The nibs of the pens may be different sizes. The standard or true colors appear to be fine, the milky are bigger or the ink comes out in a larger line. The milky pens are not my favorite and that may be my problem as I have not figured out a great way to use them. But let me tell you the other pens: standard, neon, and glitter are GREAT!!! The glitter pens are my favorite. These pens dry immediately, are not sticky, and the glitter does not overwhelm the rest of the project. My favorite glitter pen color is green as it is perfect for foliage.I will be ordering multiple sets for personal use and as gifts. I am THRILLED they included duplicate pens. If you use the same color on a large art project, you will be glad that you have duplicate pens, too. In fact, I wish there were 5 standard black pens as I outline everything and work as well as the most expensive artist pens. At this price point, I can purchase additional sets to have the additional pens I use the most.I read the reviews that complained about pens that had leaked prior to arrival, probably during shipping. I highly recommend contacting the seller, I believe they will make it right. In fact, I have not given a negative review unless I have contacted the seller. In my opinion, pen leakage may not be due to the seller, here's why and my personal experience. On the day this product arrived, the delivery man threw the Amazon packages over my gated fence. I had several deliveries that day, was home, and my gate was unlocked. I was expecting there to be major damage to everything since I saw him throw the boxes at my front door...about 25 feet. Copied the truck number and reported. When I opened the pens, two had "just started" to leak, but the clean up was easy with no damage. If I had not been home, it could have made a mess, but it was not the seller, nor Amazon, it was the one driver who didn't bother to open my gate. I am a prime member of Amazon and order everything from Amazon because of the 2 day delivery. I have never had any broken products in over 15 years.If you have an issue with the Smart Color Art, email them. They provide their contact info in the package. They will make it right. Not many companies will do that today. Try these pens, you will not be sorry.

8 pens out of 100 just don’t work (picture). I tried tapping them over and over again, and nothing came out. A majority of the lids either are stuck on the pens really well or they just don’t stay on. About 1/2 of them write VERY smooth and the other 1/2 is like writing with a 0.3 tip (very fine) and it sounds like it’s scrapping the paper.Overall they are pretty good pens for the price I paid.
