Pro Tool Industries 310-2 Woodman's Pal Military Premium Canvas Sheath

After 50+ years and using one in the service I broke down and bought a newer version. It has the same quality and and heft; and it is an indispensable tool for working in the yard. It replaces several related tools and actually does a better job for pruning, clearing, and takes less effort. Overall, Nice!

This is one sturdy scabbard! The zipper is high quality, the snaps "click" positively, and the unit gives a confident protection to the awesome tool it protects.

It's a canvas sheath for my Woodsman Pal and it fits like a glove. I use my Pro Tool Woodsman Pal for trimming and clearing, but when I got it I failed to get a sheath and now they are hard to find. I think ProTool is out of business. By the way, I have a 1943 dated version of the Pal made by Victor Tool with a canvas sheath that looks identical to this one, except the original WW2 version does not have the signal corps insignia. It provides protection to the blade while bouncing around in my side by side Mule. Great!

Although well constructed with nice details, it’s apparently not meant for the LC-14B vintage military model (pre-1960’s) with the “D” hand guard. It’s over an inch too short, but luckily it covers the edged portion. Also the grommet they punched through the sheath near the Signal Corps logo requires you to angle the brush hook into the sheath in order for you to insert it properly and gets in the way when you try to remove the Pal from the sheath. I imagine it’s perfect for the modern copies, but a bit disappointed here as I thought it would be a perfect field use replacement for an original military version from its appearance.

Advertised as "also bought this" with the Woodmans Pal I bought. Does not fit. Misleading

Classic, beautifully constructed, and much more appropriate for carry that the leather version.

Better utility sheath than the leather one.

The canvas sheath with zipper closure is exactly what I wanted. The zipper allows faster deployment than the nylon, velcro closure sheath that came with the tool I bought several months ago. I am delighted with this upgrade and with the careful and timely way in which my order was processed.
