Inositol powder seems to work for generalized anxiety. I'm taking about 12,000 mg. It does tend to make me sleepy and lethargic at times, but overall it is worth it, and I will keep on using it for mild anxiety. It seems to work better than prescription meds wthout the side effects. I never had the GI side effects like upset stomach or diarrhea. One bonus, I think it is helping to grow my hair thicker and healthier. Only bad thing it is expensive.

I purchased this for anxiety. I do not notice yet any difference. But I will give it a month or so before I give up. well here is my update: I had been diagnosed with migraine headaches - after being on Inositol for a short time now - my migraines are less severe and are of shorter duration and less frequent. Typically my migraines were 24/7 and the neurologist had tried three different scripts for me proactively and I was not able to tolerate any of them so I gave up on the doctor. I did not know Inositol would help with migraines.

I have suffered from insomnia for over 20 years and am always looking for a way to help me get at least 6 hours. I read a lot about this supplement and decided to try it. It did help me sleep, a wonderful, deep and restful sleep. But the downside was that I was extremely sleepy during the day, it began to affect my thinking and made me feel very weird. I started making mistakes at work and didn't feel right, did not feel like myself. I couldn't think clearly and then got a migraine for 2 days. I don't know if it was an allergic reaction or just the way my brain responded. I am disappointed.
