CATMen's Elude Wp Chukka Boots

Hope the comfort improves..
My recently-retired Cat boots are 10 years old and have been fantastic but, as I've now worn right through the sole, it's time to bid them a sad farewell. I really wanted an exact replacement but it would appear they're no longer available. These new Eludes seem pretty good but I've only worn them a couple of times for my daily 4-5 mile march on Tarmac. It's probably a bit early to review them but here's some feedback comparing them to my old Cats. I'll update if things change..**GOOD**--They look great--They're waterproof (not tested though)--The soles are very shock-absorbing and comfortable--The quality seems very good even though these were made in China and my others in Vietnam**NOT SO GOOD**-- No eyelets on most holes so laces can stick-- No rear tab to help you pull the boots on-- Laces not quite as heavy-duty as I'd like-- Toe area is a bit narrower than I'd like so toes feel a tad cramped at the moment-- This point will, I hope, almost certainly change, but so far I'm not too wowed with the overall comfort. After the 2 walks I've done my feet were more than happy to see them being removed, we're in the middle of a heatwave though so that doesn't help.To conclude: great-looking, well made boots that, for me at least, are not as instantly and completely comfortable as my last Cats were. Comfort should almost certainly improve though, especially with a return to our default cool and showery weather (ie fairly soon then).**UPDATE NOV 2018**I have put a few miles on these now and can report that they are supremely comfy. In addition, the high-quality uppers are still pristine- the boots still look new. I therefore have absolutely no hesitation in upgrading my award from 4 to 5 stars

waterproof boot
A more casual type of waterproof boot with rugged soles. Generous sizing without being excessive. Cat quality.

Just Buy Them!
Been wearing these boots for years! - depending on when you buy them they can be expensive but as usual you only get what you pay for, but can be on offer. Regarding the different colours it will clearly be a case of 'each to thier own' but for the boot itself then they are stylish, well wearing and so comfy! - you put these on with a decent pair of socks and away you go. One note is that the sizes are slightly on the smaller size, especially if you wear quick thick socks generally...

Great shoes
I've worn CAT boots for years and always found them comfortable and robust.Typically a pair will last about 12 months being worn every day for work.Being waterproof also a plus, not that I'd recommend any sort of hiking in them.

Worth thr money
Nice pair of shoes, very light and comfy. But 11.5 would have been a perfect fit. Can't complain so far.

Amazingly comfortable.
I wanted a good and sturdy boot as I try to walk at least five miles a day for health reasons - just on paths, not trails and hikes. This boot is so comfortable, right from the first day of use - no blisters or chafing and you really feel like your feet are protected and safe. Since purchase I have walked many miles in them and they actually still look like they did the day I got them - although obviously they need wiping when mucky.I can't see my self needing to go to another brand from this point on. They look really good with a pair of jeans as well.

Comfort
I had a pair of these 20 years ago worn then to death, so I thought Al treat myself, a bit reluctant buying as they are made in Cambodia, they have changed the sole but so comfortably, I went for the reverse leather look after 2 weeks they got the patina look. It's like walking on sponges 🧽.
