Not effective
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This looks good and had almost 4 stars. However I could not get the bottom compartment to open. It did not budge, so I returned it. This was a replacement for the same one I had already bought but became broken when a child played with it. The bottom slide would not go back into place. Now I am going with a different brand.

Just as advertised
We received our “rock” todayWas a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews but this is actually exactly what we wantedThe bottom sliding door was not too hard to open but does fit firmly in placeWe bought this for my mother-in-law but am ordering one for us today

Worked well with a little effort
Received a black speckled one and wasn't thrilled. But....with modification: (1) shaved a bit of the plastic tabs off (per other reviewers) so the compartment cover now closes properly; (2) painted the cover black so its less obvious; and (3) mixed it with other rocks (a real one just like it) in a plant container. Results are good - looks and blends in well. Will definitely use a plastic bag for key - not likely waterproof.

This product looks like a rock and is weighted so it won't blow away. It has ample room for a key.

Very realistic Rock for hiding place for your key!
Perfect. I have my extra front door key inside and it's so realistic. No one would wonder or know what it's my hiding place. Great job!

Cannot OPEN - it’s impossible
Two people tried to open this to place a key inside. It is impossible to open. It does not work at all if I can’t open it. Size is perfect. It is exactly as shown in the picture. The bottom where you open it will not move no matter what you try. That does no good if you need to get into later. Mine might have just been a bad one. I am not going to order this one again though.

For someone that always forgets her key. I like it, the only thing Is.. it looks like black top from the road. But hey, it still looks cool. Lol
