Great tasting little fish; they do taste a bit more like red licorice, but it's a great flavor
My wife even likes these fish and she doesn't normally like that sort of gummy. She usually likes the tart gummies, like Smart Sweets bears. We've tried a bunch of the Smart Sweets gummies, they all have their benefits and the gummy fish are a nice twist. I think they taste a little more like I recall red licorice to, but whatever it is, it's a fruity, cherry-punch like flavor that is very pleasant and has no aftertaste.I'm shocked anyone is still eating sugar nowadays. These types of candies don't bother my gut (like the older fake-sweeteners did) and they have great flavor and texture. I don't even miss "real" candy anymore, and my teeth certainly thank me, as well!

Delicious, perfect amount of sour, i will order again.
I have been trying to eat healthier recently but had a huge craving for sour candy and figured I could not be the only person who wanted a healthy alternative so I found a few options. Smart Sweets Sour Blast Buddies arrived first (I am still waiting on other brands to see if anyone does it better). I am literally obsessed. I was worried they wouldn’t be sour enough or would have a bad texture since the chewiness is important to me. It is a similar texture to welch’s fruit snacks but a little more hard and doesn’t get stuck in the teeth. It is the perfect level of tart for me, in fact I wouldn’t mind if some of the flavors were a bit more sour tbh. I am someone who loves sour things though, for me sour patch kids are not nearly sour enough. But I was incredibly happy with the sour buddies! I eat one bag throughout the day since they’re pretty filling tbh. I do think they’re a bit pricey but it’s worth it to me. I absolutely recommend. I have personally not had a problem with the boxes coming melted and they were delivered on a 90 degree day. I will say the coating on the candy isn’t as nice as the usual sour candies but I just don’t suck on them anymore.I also got the peach rings and i really sincerely hope they’re not actually discontinued because I really enjoyed them. I am not huge on regular peach rings, I got them for my boyfriend who loves peach rings and honestly I’m keeping them for myself lol. I tasted them because I was curious and I really loved them, I wouldn’t say they were sour at all, maybe a little bit tart but it’s definitely a sweet candy which I expected. The chewiness was about the same as the sour buddies.

New recipe change is awful & a dealbreaker at the same high price
I used to LOVE these. I would eat them all day long and they’ve been helping me kick habits of eating heavy sugar gas station type snacks. UNFORTUNATELY, they just changed the recipe. Not only are they now less healthy, especially for keto diets, but most importantly the taste and consistency is FAR WORSE. It’s changed so much that I have no plans on ever buying these again. I shared a few of these new ones with friends and family who also love the original recipe and they completely agreed that this is a huge downgrade. I don’t know why they made this change but it’s disheartening because I truly enjoyed having a healthy snack that was helping me build a healthier lifestyle. Now I have to look elsewhere unless they change it back. Even though these are super expensive for the quantity you receive in each bag, it was worth it for me. Now I wouldn’t eat these if they were free. The bright pink fish on the left is the new one, the right is the original. The new ones have a chalky consistency, taste somewhat medicinal, break up almost like bread in our mouth and lack the smooth feeling of the original recipe. Very upset. I called around to 15 GNC locations looking for any of the last of these original recipe packs and every single one is sold out (which is standard) because they are so popular. Why they would change the recipe so drastically is beyond me. Now I’m just hoping a different company sees the opportunity to enter the market (the high price point alone leaves an opening for competition). Hopefully though there will be enough complaints and a drop in sales that this company will change the recipe back. I was very proud to support them and the ambitious female founder - just hope I’m not alone in thinking the new ones are a massive downgrade and dealbreaker.

Overall good but inconsistent
I have these on subscribe and save because they are such a better option than most traditional sour candies out there, but these are so inconsistent. Sometimes I receive a box of fresh, soft, sour-coated gummies and sometimes I receive stale, hard gummies that I have to microwave for a few seconds before attempting to eat them. I wish they would be more consistently fresh but I’m willing to keep ordering in hopes the old ones get cycled out.

Yummy and low sugar?! Like these better than real Swedish fish candy

NOT what I expected
These are... not BAD. They are just not what I expected. The expectation was that they would look and taste like the image on the packaging - one of those sour fruit slices or gummies crusted with a sweet-sour "sugary" coating. They are NOT.What they ARE - pretty tasty, sour-ish treats that have a similar mouth feel to THEIR Swedish Fish: firm, chewy candies that are better suited for sucking rather than biting/chewing. Chew at your own risk as they will get stuck all in your teeth, lol.My husband likes them a lot but I probably wouldn't buy them again. The sour fades very quickly leaving you with just a sweet, mildly watermelon-y flavor. Again, not bad; just not what I really wanted.

Swedish Fish taste alike
I love these candies! Taste like just like Swedish's Fish with the sugar. No weird aftertaste. Hard to stop eating though.
