Clean, soft, and surprising
I have a scalp that can’t be pleased. Most coconut products are a no-go: I’ll be itchy before the shower ends, and it’ll get worse as the day goes on. The citrus conditioner has no coconut oil—stellar! The ingredients all work for my skin, and my wavy/curly hair is bouncy when dry. I still need a styling product for shine and anti-frizz, but this conditioner detangles and softens nicely. It’s also easier to apply than most other solid conditioners I’ve tried.Don’t keep these bars in enclosed spaces. They’ll be gross in no time because solid products need to dry out between uses. I keep mine in a caddy on the wall so they drain immediately and they never sit in either running water or a puddle.

Love this product
Third time is a charm! I have purchased both the shampoo and conditioner in citrus, rosemary and now the coconut. I really liked the citrus. The smell was light. Shampoo lathered ok and the conditioner was good. I was running low and decided to try the rosemary. I really liked the scent of the shampoo but the conditioner had very little scent. I wasn't sure I liked it as well as the citrus but I really came to like it as well as the citrus. Third time I bought the coconut. This one is the true winner. Shampoo lathers wonderfully and the conditioner is the easiest to apply of the three scents. The true difference is that this one works best on my hair. I have very fine straight color treated hair which tangles easily especially at night. First time using and I woke up with tangle free hair. All of the shampoo and conditioner are a good size. Roughly the size of a palm. I find that both run out around the same time with washing my hair almost every day. Approximately 3 months. The only issue I have is that when the bars get about 2/3 gone they start to crumble. I just softened them up like you would chocolate in a double boiler and poured them in a silicone ice cube tray and was able to completely use up all the bars. The only thing I would like is for the coconut to come in a set like the citrus and rosemary.

Easy to use, rinses clean.
I have tried in the last while (5 years) to be careful about all the hidden stuff in shampoos and conditioner. I switched to a rice bar for shampoo but found I needed a conditioner every 3-4 washes. I really like this conditioner bar. It rinses clean with no waxy feel and smell good. Easy for travel. I cut the bars into 4. A rice shampoo bar and a 1/4 conditioner bar will last me a month and fits in a small soap dish.

So soft! But lemon Pledge scented! Yeeesh.
My husband says my hair smells exactly like lemon Pledge furniture dust-removal spray. Now that he has said that, it's the only thing I think of when I catch a whiff. NOT what I would choose! If you love that scent, this is for you. (I'd give you mine, even.)That said, my hair tends to feel a bit course and dry, tending to have split ends. My hair is very soft after using this conditioner bar. I have brown hair with copperish highlights that curls into loose springs, or frizzes to rival Einstein's hair texture on bad days. No frizzies this morning after my shower last night. However, the copper shine is not there. My hair doesn't feel heavy at all, but that bright luster isn't there. It does still have a softer sheen. The smell is the deal breaker for me. When using it, it smells very strongly airfreshener lemon, with an undertone of pot. Like a lemon Hi-Chew candy. The pot undertone disappears when the hair is dry, and the lemon scent fades a lot.The feel is very invigorating! It's almost a light mentholated feeling. I shower at night, so this also doesn't work for me. If you are looking for a conditioner that also helps wake you up, this is awesome! Throw this in your gym bag!All in all, if this company could make a more subtle scent and eliminate the menthol feeling, I would be back in a heartbeat! (Can I suggest German chamomile; the fresh crushed plant scent, not a tea; with a hint of Earl Gray tea scent, minus the tannic bit. It would really match with your product in a great way. And it would still be a gender neutral scent.)Please? And thank you!

Product OK, packaging worse.
I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner bars for four months now and have definitely acquired some opinions and preferences.I have been hearing a lot about shampoo bars and conditioner bars and decided to give them a whirl. I like the fact that it was small and compact, as my intention for these products was to use them at the gym. I also like the fact that you could theoretically get three bottles of shampoo out of one bar. I’m also a bit of a green girl, so the lack of waste is also appealing. The smell of the shampoo was not what I was expecting. Fresh and clean, yes, but just not my preferred scent. Kind of has a lemony m-ginger scent. But it also smells natural, and, hey, at least it was clean! I started using the bar with no problems. And then with all the use and all the water, the bar started to loosen up and it eventually turned into mush. Now it is so unappealing to work with. I definitely do not think I got three shampoo bottles worth of use out of this one bar. Now, the conditioner bar I’m a little more impressed by. I’ve been using it the same amount as the shampoo, and, compositionally, it has held together quite nicely. Not just that, but it is lasting! Smell is comparable to that of the shampoo’s—pleasant and clean, just not my style. The products do their job—the shampoo cleans and the conditioner softens. I especially like how silky my hair feels after using the conditioner. In terms of product performance, I would give the shampoo a C and the conditioner a B+.Let’s move on to packaging.Simply put, I hate it. These tins are completely impossible to open in the shower when your hands are wet! I don’t know if the product has started to mold or what, but it causes the tin top to stick to its bottom. The tin is starting to rust! It has come to me smacking the tin against the wall in an effort to loosen t up, or to get a dent in the side to make it easier to open or grip...just opening it now with dry hands was a chore! And I don’t think buying a travel soap holder would work since the soap holders I’ve seen are rectangular and these bars are circular. And the labels have all but wiped away completely.I think to make this product more successful, containers you open by prying the lid off the top versus twisting would be nice.
