Besides the seller waiting until the day it was to be delivered to my house to send it....
Even for the price it is really a cheaply made product. On the underside of the toy there is a spinning turret that holds a set of automated wheels that continuously move when switched on... It makes the fire truck just spin where it sits... I broke the turret off so my daughter could push the truck back and forth because as long as it's attached you can't play with it very easily. The siren sounds nothing like an American made fire truck and after about thirty seconds it begins to sound erratic and horribly annoying. The entire truck is made out of the same plastic that cheap model train sets are made of... extremely thin, lightweight and flimsy. Did I mention the axles... or lack there of? Well, there you go. four of the wheels are attached to a small thin piece of plastic which isn't going to last very long... one wheel set is connected by an axle which makes them the only durable wheels on the thing... but they are over top of the battery compartment door. I wish I had either spent a few extra dollars on a different, better firetruck but I didn't. My daughter is two and she loves it though so that is the only good thing. She doesn't care about the same things I care about. It looks like a cool 1995 or so model ladder truck and she's happy about that. I took the batteries out so I didn't have to hear the constant whine of that horrendous siren and she plays with it every day happy as can be.

Every child will love this fire truck
Every child will love this fire truck! It is loud and entertaining. My two year old will just sit and watch it for hours. Unfortunately you CAN NOT turn that darn LOUD siren OFF!!! It will make you want to pull your hair out! It is a great gift for someone else's kid so you don't have to listen to it! LOL I honestly have thought about cutting the wire but I'm not sure which one it is.I've bought this toy 3 months ago and I've only let my daughter play with it twice. Otherwise it sits high a shelve where she can't see it! Haha

COOL TRUCK!
We bought this as a gift for a friend's child. The package arrived in very poor condition. I don't know if this is the sellers fault or Amazon's fault, but I did contact Amazon about it and they made it right. The child's mom texted me to tell me how cool this toy is. She said is has the bells and whistles to make it a really cool firetruck. She said it will move across the floor on its own and if it hits something it will stop and go the other way. How neat is that? We thought it was pretty cute and now that the gift received such rave reviews from our friend, we are thinking this will make a great Christmas present. The price is right too!

3 year old loves it...
Great little toy, Does not do much but spin in circles... and make noise, but my kids love it...Does bounce and change direction with out hitting people or things too hard, which is nice.Does not roll well on carpet. But great on tile and hardwoods.Wife was not thrilled I put in the batteries, a little annoying for adults after a bit... but again, kids love it.

This was much smaller than I thought it would be ...
This was much smaller than I thought it would be. My child loves fire trucks but this has turned out to no be one of his favorites. The ladder does not go up that high and has to be done by hand - there are no buttons. The parts do not seem that solid and if my child would play with this often, I would expect it to break quickly. The extendable ladder turns in a circle. It takes 3 "AA" Batteries Required. The box size is 13.75"L x 3.25"W x 4.5"H while the fire engine is 13.1 x 4.6 x 3.5 inches.

Pretty decent toy for the money
Pretty decent toy for the money. There isn't an option to have the truck move with out sound which I wish it had. the siren is pretty loud so I wish there was a volume adjuster lol... But my son loves it and the fact that it moves around on its own makes him laugh which is worth it.

I would have been disappointed because it feels very cheap
I ordered this firetruck for our boy's nursery. I spent $12 to display it on a shelf... 100% worth it. Now, if I had bought it to be played with, I would have been disappointed because it feels very cheap. But hey! You get what you pay for!

Good but tricky ladder
Fire truck looks really realistic. The ladders are a bit tricky to extend/ store though. My little nephew lost his patience with this a couple of times. The ladder seems poorly designed for kid's toy but otherwise the detail is great!
