Excellent value for the money. Sometimes it's hard to get the ink to flow when writing after a few days. I've had to disconnect the ink cartridge and reseat the cartridge. I don't think that's a plus. I have several ink pens that are disposable and the ink flows when the nib hits the paper. I've used Parker writing instruments for over 60 years, and they are excellent. My comments are no reflection on seller, just the slow flow of ink to nib.

I purchase a Parker IM Duo Gift Set with Ballpoint Pen & Fountain Pen, Gloss Black with Gold Trim, Blue Ink Refill & Cartridge, Gift Box which came from the UK to the US. The fountain pen is fine. The pocket clip on the ballpoint pen broke off on the first use. I expected better from Parker. I called Parker in the US about this issue. What I was told is that the clip on the ballpoint pen "is not intended to be used to hold the pen in place in a dress shirt pocket. It is intended to keep the pen from rolling off the desk." The CSR added the the broken clip is not covered by warranty. Count me as astonished by this response. You can draw your own conclusions. BTW: The fountain pen in the set is a nice pen which has a smooth writing experience. I will not be putting it in my shirt pocket. 12/26/22 - There's a new development, and it is one I did not expect. After sending a new message to the company expressing my dismay about the poor product quality (photo), and the miserable response I got from the CSR to my initial complaint, the firm reversed it position after I sent them this photo and a copy of the purchase invoice from the Amazon order. The firm shipped me a replacement ball point pen at no charge and did not ask me to return the old one. I changed my rating from a 1 to a 4. It would have been higher but the for lousy response on the first go round. Both pens are vey nice and have a good writing experience on various kinds of paper. Just don't take them off your desk and put them in your shirt pocket.

I have the matte black pen with silver accents. I bought this pen to replace a much cheaper pen that the nib wore out on. I really like the look of the pen. I prefer a matte finish to a glossy one. The pen requires a bit of pressure to get the ink to flow, which also makes the pen scratch the paper. I ave tried it on multiple paper types and weights with the same reult. The pen does not flow across the page unlike the cheaper pens I have used before. I gave the pen a thorough cleaning, hoping the ink would flow better through the capillaries and the nib. No difference. Update- I switched to Pelikan 4001 brilliant black ink, and the pen writes much better. It flows better- still a touch "scratchy".

It is good pen, easy to write. I love this one !

Hey y’all. I have always loved Parker pens. This one was a disappointment. I was hoping it would work most of the time. It takes about five minutes of writing or scribbling to get the ink to flow. When it works, it is great! When it doesn’t work it is not fun.
