KOHLER K-393-N4-BN Devonshire® Centerset Bathroom Sink Faucet, 3-Hole Installation, 4 Inch Bathroom Faucets with Pop-Up Drain, 2-Handle, 1.2 gpm, Brushed Nickel

This Kohler (K-394-4-BN Devonshire widespread) bathroom faucet set with metal drain is beautifully designed, superbly engineered and carefully manufactured with high quality materials. It has a true brushed-nickel finish that has no issues with water spots. It was very easy to install. The directions were clearly understandable (you must also look at the back of the instructions to see the specific exploded-view of this faucet and placement of the faucet base plate). Based on poor reviews of newer and less costly Kohler faucet designs made in China, I decided to purchase this model, since we installed this model in another bathroom in 2005 and it is still working good as new. I was very pleased to see that this faucet set still has the quality and beauty that made the fine reputation of the Kohler trademark years ago.

I installed 2 in my master bath, replacing the 30 year old original fixtures. Two new supply lines were also needed per faucet (I used the HIGHCRAFT CNCT1671-2 Braided Faucet Connector With 1/2'' x 3/8'' Brass Nut, Stainless Steel 16 In). The original hot and cold valves under the sink should be replaced because they are for copper pipe, not the above flexiple supply lines. I recommend SharkBite 23036LFA4 Compression Angle Stop Valve, 1/2 Inch x 3/8 Inch, Push-to-Connect, 4 Pack. You can de-solder, or if enough pipe just cut off, the old valves and merely push these Shark Bites onto the pipe, no soldering required. The only other tip needed is to use teflon tape on the end of the provided SS drain pipe that screws into the stopper control portion of the drain. Mine leaked without it and I had to add the teflon tape after the initial installation. I am very pleased with the look and quality of these faucets.

OMG these are so stunning in person solid and heavy and beautiful. I am in love, of course its all part of a new bathroom in general and yes well Im in awe of the whole thing so maybe its an overall awe but still I looked at every single freakin faucet in production and chose this and I simply could not be happier. The high arc faucets look nice but I was afraid they would splash and be a pain to clean around behind. I dont think low faucets are that nice honestly especially for my double vanity. This is a medium high arc, the faucet mouth is nice and wide. I considered the brushed finish to hide spots and such but the polished chrome just looks so elegant. The styling is also very elegant and they look beautiful and work great (not time tested though just got them installed today) I didnt install so I cant comment on level of difficulty but it didnt seem too much work for the guys. I got the matching items toilet roll etc its all just simply stunning. I ddint get the shower head the reviews were iffy and I dont care if they match so I didnt get that. I highly recommend these.posted some pictures ignore the background no mirror yet but I couldnt wait to show these beauties off :)

We bought it to upgrade our upstairs bath to oil rubbed bronze to match the rest of the house (also Kohler ORB). It works well, however as others found the cartridges started leaking after about 3 years. I called Kohler with the part number (from my Amazon history). I told them the problem and they mailed new cartridges the same day, didn't need to send proof of purchase (but I said I had the record from Amazon, which I did). When I got them things went a little south. In order to get to the cartridges you have to remove the handle and bonnet. The first Kohler rep I called wanted me to twist the bonnet independently of the handle to unscrew it. When I told her that the bonnet had always moved with the handle she insisted that Kohler had never made a faucet where the bonnet moved. Well guess what, this one does! And to remove the handle you need a 2.5mm allen wrench and the screw is at the back where you can't see it (for aesthetics of course). Turns out they secure these set screws at the factory with blue locktite AND, I swear, an impact driver set to maximum. I managed, just, to loosen one but the other stripped the set screw. Another call to Kohler found the solution - hammer "up" on the handle until it comes off! They sent a replacement handle, bonnet and set screw. All working well again.

Love our new bathroom faucet! Just the right mix of modern and elegant for a guest bathroom. Distressing “oil rubbing” is spot on as well. Very sturdy and handles are super smooth for on and off. If you don’t have a plumber, it’s totally worth it to use the amazon install service as they guarantee it and don’t charge you until you sign off approval. The company they outsourced our job to was friendly and professional and communicated scheduling via text. The only thing I would say is we threw away our old stainless mesh hoses for the hot and cold so I had to purchase 1/2” opening to 1/2” opening short hoses for like $5 each. Just be sure to note the sizes are compatible to your existing valves as this set does not provide these.

I Love this fixture! I looked and looked for the right fixture, and had passed this by a few times after I saw it in person at a store. I was afraid it looked a bit dated and old fashioned. After thinking it over and looking at every fixture known to man, I made a snap decision to put these in both bathrooms that we were remodeling at the same time (yes, we must be nuts to do 2 at a time!!). I paired them with a beautiful quartzite counter top over a cream colored. vanity. Our house is traditional, and kind of cottage style.They look fantastic. I would choose them again, They look elegant and comfortable at the same time, and don't look old fashioned at all! Oh, I forgot to say- I read that others were having trouble with spots they couldn't get off after installation. I had the same issue, and used pledge multi surface cleaner, and really rubbed and rubbed, and got them pretty much spot free. Then I used regular pledge liberally over the whole thing.They look great and the pledge protects them against new spots.(I learned that trick from a sales lady at Sears appliance dept who said she used Pledge on all the SS refrigerators so stop peoples hand from spotting them!

The included installation instructions were somewhat generic. Each step was purposefully brief (so they could be generic). They didn’t talk about adding the ornamental ring at the base of the faucet, and they talked about securing the handles with a ring and two screws, but no rings and screws were included. On further examination there was nowhere for the screws to go into the handles to secure them. Checking the Kohler site for this faucet, it says that these handles are secured by large flat nuts, not a ring and 2 screws. I contacted the Amazon Seller (Mott Company), who had included a card in the box to contact them if anything was wrong or missing. I got an immediate email back on Friday at 4:00 saying “We are out of the office for the weekend. We will reply back to you Monday as soon as possible. Thank you and have a great weekend.” It is now the end of the day on Tuesday and I still haven’t heard from them. I’m going to spend $25 to get the nuts and washers from the Kohler site. I’m not satisfied with this experience. If I had seen the multiple reviews that talked about pre-opened boxes and pre-used hardware I would have never taken the chance on this expensive faucet. How much do you have to spend on a faucet to get a decent experience??

Love the way this faucet looks on our bathroom sinks. It gives a wonderful flow of water and the handle adjusts the temperature with great precision. Looks pretty, functions well and costs about a third less than others we looked at. The higher neck gives a glorious amount of space to get under the water with hands or even heads. I have washed my hair and can get under the faucet quite easily. Excellent choice. Highly recommend this faucet.
