The premises was enough to hook me and keep me flipping through the pages. I couldnât wait to see how it ended and to see how the guys handled each of the seven targets. It was a truly inspired plot line that I havenât seen in so long. The revenge plot mixed in with second chance love and touch her and die from all five of the guys was amazing. The character development for the FMC as well as two of the love interests (Oscar and Callum) was exactly what you wanted. I liked seeing the glimpses into the past from when Bernadette was tortured by the boys from everyoneâs POV. It was handled very well throughout the story in giving you tastes enough to leave you wanting, but not so frustrated that you deemed it not worthy. Oscar had the most development in my opinion as he took the longest to crack. Callumâs backstory was the most heartbreaking and I loved delving into his life to get inside his head. There are five love interests so you get each personality. Itâs nice having each boy be so distinct that you truly do feel like they create one cohesive unit. Every guy has a role to fill and you arenât left wanting in the romance department.Cons:The story is way too drug out. This did not need to be five books long. It could have easily been a trilogy and one entire book could be scrapped if she would have cut out all the filler sections. The pacing of the book was wildly inconsistent. You would have moments filled with action that seemed to be over too fast, moments that were just right⊠fast enough that it wasnât dragging but slow enough that you felt like you had enough time to absorb everything, and moments that were so slow I felt myself falling asleep. Why did we need multiple shopping montages? Only two of them actually added anything to the story and it just was a waste of my brain space. The premise of the book was also drug out. There were numerous moments when they could have solved a problem but came up with some BS excuse to not do so. It was just a way to keep the book going instead of doing what they were quite literally hired to do. Not to mention issues popped up at the âperfectâ time just to stretch it out even longer.Unnecessary repetitive descriptions of the guys as well as repeating that they were âbroken monsters.â I canât tell you how many times she describes the guys looks throughout the books. I wish I knew just how many times the word âebonâ was used cause it has to be up in the 300s. We established how they look in books one and two, you donât need to keep telling us in book five. Not to mention, you clearly explain and SHOW that the men are broken and were turned into âmonstersâ due to their life experience, why are we still talking about it in book five?Too much Spice. I donât mind spice in my books, but honestly why was there s** just for s** sake? It added nothing to the plot. Iâm sure that if you cut about 20 s** scenes there would still be enough to fill one book on its own with nothing but smut. I like s** sprinkled in with my books, not the entire book. It was repetitive and honestly exhausting. I skipped so many scenes, it wasnât funny. What is the infatuation with women and high school girls to slut shame each other? Why do we still call each other sl** and wh*** and bit***, then get mad when men do it. Do yâall not understand that by doing this to each other you are giving men permission to do it too? Can we please just stop with this childish and stupid behavior. I donât care if itâs a high school book, the amount of dialogue that was shaming other girls was so draining. I rolled my eyes so hard they hurt.Consensus:Itâs okay. Thatâs it, itâs okay. If you donât mind potentially skimming by the end just to get to the resolution then this book series might be for you. It was so gripping up till book four but at that point I was so invested I had to know how it ended. Do I hate I read it? No. Will I recommend it? No. But just because itâs not for me, doesnât mean it wonât be for you. Such a strong start to a disappointing resolution. Donât get me wrong, they get a HEA, but the ending doesnât overwrite the issue filled journey.

Wow
They way the author draws you into the story is amazing. When reading I get overwhelmed and excited in all the same breath. Bernie and her boys are on a ride of their lives together and I canât wait to see whatâs next. We are approaching the end of high school and entering into a new more dangerous chapter. This book will give you all the feelings. I cried on more then one occasion. Itâs was rough and raw in several scenes. Beautifully done.

Ahhhhh!!!!!
I am done!! this was just as good as the 1st book if not better. bOOK GOT ME FEELING LIKE A CRACK FIEND...ADDICTIVE AF!!! I LITERALLY COULDN'T PUT THE BOOK DOWN!!!Everything about chaos was complete and utter f****** chaos and we got the best ending ever that's not an ending technically it's a Cliff hanger because there are 3 more books. I just I know I should not Be supporting Vic or Oscar like I should be supporting Callum or even Hael But my delulu fictional mind is just I am in awe Of the 2 men that are toxic past help.Like I love Victor I've solidified that since book one I I am definitely team Victor but I am also very much happy that we got the backstory on Oscar cause the tension!! oh my God!!! The slow and utter build-up to the explosiveness that is Bernadette and Oscar will forever burn in my memories. I wasn't sure until now what Oscars deal was but now I know and I love it, he is literally an enigma. Aaron is a cute puppy that has a dangerous ass bite, Callum is the sweet disaster, Hael is a wild raging wildfire and I can't wait to see them all burn the pace to the ground and rise from the ashes!!I feel like everything's coming full Circle I feel Chaos In my spirit and I like it I like it a lot.

Better than book 1
So there was growth and development from all characters. The FMC reads better in this book than the first. Do the relationships progress, yes. Is it enough, I donât think so. I want to know why the guys love Bernie so much. We know that she talks about different experiences with them when they were young but why havenât they had any significant conversations with each other? why havenât they brought up those moments that made them so in love with her or she with them? Also why havenât they discussed with her why they âallowedâ Aaron to date her or the pact they made when they were 13. It just feels like we have all these little snippets dropped in our lap and we spend half our time as readers organizing them and deciding the timeline without much progress in honesty between characters.Iâm just not seeing a connection between characters more than what Stunich is telling me.I want more emotional connection and development.Looking forward to the next book and Iâm also hoping for some RH mĂ©nage situations. Everything has been pretty tame so far.

Better than the first book.
The writing this time was not as repetitive as the first book. The story is paced well and I liked that we went right into what was happening from the cliff hanger of the first book.

Really good
This is such an interesting story, and Iâm so curious to find out whatâs next! The only reason why Iâm not giving it 5 stars is because of Bernadetteâs âinner monologueâ. It gets a little too much for me, the constant commentary on how they look compared to darker things.. Like I get it, you love them and theyâre hot! But can we please continue with the storyline đđ

5 stars is not enough
CM Stunich has done it again. I bloody loved this book. What a build from Havoc. Every single expectation was met & then whacked right out of the park đđ»đđ»I loved getting to know the boys a bit better with the scattered POVs, especially Oscar, and Bernie became more of a badass b*tch.Sweet justice prevailed with some of her list & the wedding was everything I never knew I wanted it to be. Iâm now trying to work out how to convince my fiancĂ©e to let me walk down the aisle to the same track! No gut-wrenching/throw-your-kindle-at-the-wall/need-to-tit-punch-the-author cliffhanger at the end, but a happy-for-now which left me beyond satisfied whilst simultaneously hungry for the release of Mayhem in 2 weeks. Can we acknowledge just how effing awesome that is? I LOVE not having to wait months/years in between books. An absolutely fantastic sequel in an excellent series by one of my favourite authors.I absolutely recommend listening to her Spotify playlist whilst reading this too!

Mixed emotions.
I have so many mixed emotions here and I can't snatch my thoughts from what's next so I'll keep this short and sweet.Havoc is toxic and addictive. It taints everything it touches and yet I can't seem to not want more. Cal and his deep darkness. Oscar and his dry blunt horror and secrets. Hael and his playful dirty. Aaron and his sweet love. Vic and his depravity. Every man has me wanting more but especially Cal and Oscar because I feel like they haven't had anytime yet.Bernie is crazy and fast becoming destructive and the very thing she hated Havoc for and yet there is something about her that I love. The darkness that consumes her.. it shouldn't be right and yet I kind of love it.The relationship between them all is unhealthy and unpredictable to say the least but again it's addictive with so much tension its overwhelming. I'm hooked and honestly I can't explain why because there's so many things I usually can't stand in books I read, in these books. Yet here I am desperate for the next one.I'm hoping for more answers in the next book and a better grip on the individual relationships between Bernie and her men. That's where I'm an right now.

OMG!!! This series just gets better and better!
All these books are free on KU, but I would buy them if not.Never heard of this author before, but mighty glad I found her on KU.I wasnât sure about this series at first because the characters are around 18 yrs old, and being much older, I thought it may be more for teens etc. How wrong I was!The books arenât really standalone, so read in order from the start to get the best out of them. They are really well written and put together. The characters are amazing. The subject matter is quite graphic, but very realistic and does not shy away from the inclusion of difficult themes to make this book believable. Whilst the book is quite dark, it doesnât put you off, but rather draws you in to cheer on the characters who are seeking justice and handing out justified punishment to those who deserve it.AN OUTSTANDING BOOK AND SERIES.Completely deserves 5âïžExcellent and highly recommended đ

This book deserves the hype and recognition. CM Slayyyysss!
After reading Havoc at the beginning of this year I quickly fell down the rabbit hole. The writing, the story, the alpha males - perfection. Bernadette Blackbird and her wicked personality, her love for her sisters and her hate for those who have wronged her is the cherry on the cake.Like so many people I was disappointed when this book was pushed back, but after reading it Iâm sooo pleased that the writing wasnât rushed. If this was thrown together to hit a self imposed deadline it would have ruined everything Iâve grown to love in this series. For me they have these points individuallyHael - â€ïž the wild redheadAaron - đthe first loveVictor đ the leaderOscar - đ€ Silent and deadlyCallum - đ€beautifully brokenBernadette - đ Queen! But together - Family âŸThis book is dark, itâs dirty, itâs oh so good.I canât wait to see where MAYHEM takes us because books 1 & 2 have been epic.If youâre not into RH then this probably isnât for you. If you want smooth sailing, no angst and flowers and chocolates - again this probably isnât for you. If youâre open minded, love the fact a story has to have twists and turns with a few revenge plots and murder. THIS IS FOR YOU!

LOVED. EVERY. SINGLE. WORD.
If you haven't read Havoc before now, where have you been? This eagerly awaited sequel has honestly been like the build up to Christmas for a five year old. And unlike fat old Santa, dear wicked C. M Stunich rewarded us all for being naughty and nice. I have consumed it in a day. Forced myself to slowly indulge in each word and loved it. From beginning to end. Only two weeks till the third book and I for one am only too willing to wait for another taste of perfection.
