I've had this stereo now for a few months and use it constantly. The sound quality is fine for my kitchen, family room. I've used all the features. I keep an old iPhone 4 that works fine for playing Pandora, the CD player works great, as does the USB port and the radio. I love that there are only 3 station buttons, as I usually am listening to either an oldies station or NPR radio. No fumbling to find my choice. If I could have everything I want, I'd be able to back space on the CD, as I'm trying to learn a foreign language, and the only choice the CD function gives me is to go to different tracks, but I expect that's the way all CD players are.

CD operation has a sound of the disc scraping on something internal when spinning. Stops when entire unit is tilted a bit, most of the time. Sadly it was bought for the CD operation

Compact, great sound!

Compact and functional, works fine, but the quality of sound is just so-so. Can operate on batteries - helpful to have radio when electricity is out. Suitable for what I need and price was good, but if sound quality matters to you, this is not a good choice.

Unfortunately, there don't seem to be any decent low-price boom box options available anywhere, this particular model included. There was no (visible) damage whatsoever to this boom box, yet, it suffered from a serious electronic issue to the point where we couldn't even play a single track off a CD without the player either shutting off or resetting itself (basically, turning off and immediately back on). While it would be nice to think that it was just our particular device, I don't think that's the case -- these boom boxes are obviously manufactured with the cheapest possible components across the board -- and I think anybody purchasing one of these radios is taking a risk of losing the purchase price. Even if your device works well immediately after delivery, it almost certainly will not last...even worse: when if fails, you'll be outside of the return window, meaning that this is actually worse for you than if it had never worked properly from the get-go.

better than another brand bought years ago, this one is legit portable with option for batteries which is original reason to buy due to storm season for weather updates, can be used daily , love that it has cd player . Only wish it came in more colors . This one is silver with black trim. Function is more important to me though. Good price and reliable company.
