It’s small, has an emergency SOS button as well as a checking in button so for anyone who is going off the grid and wants to still be able to email and text using your smartphone this device is for you.It’s quick and easy to set up, requires the purchase of a data plan. Options include a belt clip as well as other mounting options, there’s even a dry box if you need and willing to pay. It charges quickly, but only a cable is in the box, you supply the charger, battery life seems normal so far, it tells you when it’s lost it’s cell phone connection.And it’s reasonably priced and it comes from Iridium. All things considered, it’s a great entry level sat device.

I only 4 starred as the carabiner on the unit proved more useful for my uses than this kit.

I've been using on my sailboat for over a year.It does everything I need it to do much for much less than the other brands. Only that could be improved is the weather download feature.

I needed something that held my zoleo in place while hiking. Now I clip it to the backpack strap and it sits right in place. Love it.

The cradle kit components get 5 stars. The excessive packaging gets 1 star.In an effort to make the cradle kit look sexy on some presumptive brick and mortar display shelf, Zoleo has packaged the four (admittedly nice) ABS plastic parts in a very elaborate multiply-nested iPhone-like enclosure. The enclosure costs probably 5x the cost of the plastic parts, too.After unboxing and immediately recyclling the packaging, I'm left with a 3"x4"x1" pile of nicely nesting plastic pieces.Come on, Zoleo, be more sensible with your packaging.

Just finished a camping trip where cellular service was unavailable. I had no problem staying in communication and safe. I would recommend this satellite link to anyone needing to stay in communication with others.
