I happened upon this product as the first one to solve my problem -- how to set a diffuser across the top of my son's screw-mounted table lamp shade so it would stop glaring right into my eyes.This was perfect. I did have to trim both uprights down to make it fit inside of the lampshade, but I expected that at purchase. For this application, the loss of the screw fitting does not cause any issues.

Works well to raise shade height. You have to work the white threaded piece in but eventually it clicked.

Had to loosen my entire lamp to attach them. They aren’t horribly sturdy … they do fit a variety of lamps and are fairly easy to put together. Not nearly as stable as a regular lamp harp.

I though I was going to have to select from lampshades that fasten to the bulb, but when I saw this, I found I had a lot more options available to me. These are old lamps that my grandfather made probably 80 years ago, so modifying the lamps is a non-starter, but these require no mods to the lamp. They are now in my living room with nice looking new shades on them...and not the kind that fasten to the bulb.

I purchased 2 of these and I was excited that they were adjustable. I put them on my lamps easily but they were very flimsy. The way the harps attach to the lamp is terrible. They do not fit snuggly enough to stay on the lamps without the shade tipping unevenly. These harps might work better if they were not one sided. My opinion is they are a waste of money.

I needed this adapter in order to use a different type of lampshade. This enabled me to do that. It came with everything I needed.
