Initially I was sceptical about this purchase however it was easy to set up and works well with the Knight ap to put my garden lights on and off. Good quality Good value for money.

I replaced a single outdoor socket with this device on my patio. Almost a straight swap over as looks the same manufacture. Just had to be careful to make sure the mounting holes lined up. I did test it first to see how easy the set was. I use the smart life app and it was very easy and simple to set up. You can set timers individually for each socket - monitor the power usage - and have a common on off. You can also just switch them on from the switch if you havent got your phone. The switch is a pulser like a doorbell so feels a bit strange to use but operation is tactile and device generally feels good quality and waterproof. Fun to play with and show off - Now the novelty worn off just works and the lights and water pump just do there thing and all is good

I purchased this plug to remotely control garden lights. It was installed by an electrician and appears to be waterproof. Pairing was another matter I have tried for 6 days to pair this to my WiFi but it would not pick up the signal the socket fitted at the back of a 4 bed house the router in the hall in the centre. I have had to buy a WiFi extender to enable the socket to pick up my wife. Moving the router nearer the socket worked however this compromised the wifi signal to my office at the front of the house. All in all it now works well not I've paid an additional £60 for a WiFi extender. Having also paid am electrician to fit thus socket and the purchase of the wifi extender it has worked out to be a very expensive outdoor socket. Had i known I needed a WiFi extender I would have just purchased a normal outdoor socket with a manual timer which would have been cheaper.

Perfect. good housing, the socket looks like it can be replaced with a standard one if it does eventually fail, and connection to it was very easy - adding to an existing Smartlife/Tuya system (reason i chose it). One thing to note is that on the Smartlife app, when setting up a schedule "Closed" = "Off"..! Being a sparky by trade, a closed switch is one that would pass electricity. Strange Logic there...

I bought this with a degree of skepticism about the ability to connect to the WiFi but figured I’d take a chance. I’m so glad I did. It was a breeze to install, looks much nicer than the socket it replaced and the connection to WiFi (once I’d worked out how to put it pairing mode) was great. My main mesh router is the other side of the house but there is a node indoors, near the position of the socket and the connection is strong. In contrast, my ring doorbell struggles. The app is great and I have my outdoor lights come on 30 mins after dusk and run until 11pm but I really love having it connected to Alexa as I can turn on both garden lights or the switches independently. Great value for money.

Doesn't with with Android, really really really disappointing! Useless to me as i just wanted to use my android to turn it off and on. Nothing in the description too suggest.

So just fitted this today. I already had a outside double socket, thinks to myself will just have to swap just the socket part, Nope its a totally different size and screw hole configuration. So ended up having to take the old one off completely. 2 of the old holes did line up, but had to drill 2 new ones to fit back box. This is a LOT more flimsily than the one I took off, no pre drilled mounting holes however there is a marked part for them. Got the holes drilled wire through the back and wired up ok. Though fitting the front part to the back is a bit fiddley to say the least, the back box due to being a flimsy structure tend to twist slightly, when you tighten the mounting screws thus trying to get the two parts to align takes a wee bit of effort/ Also the blanks for various entry points for cable, are simply a thin plastic disc that easily pop put, how this got an IP rating is beyond me. I will take these off and use a sealer around them all. Oh and the actual switches in the socket are a bit unusual, normally you press switch, it goes down and you know the socket that side is on, these are not like that, you press and they return to same position, though a led does go green when on, just a bit surprised at first the instructions are also a bit lacking, download the app, make sure device is in pairing mode...not really showing the socket its more like a switch shown on the instructions. Now its saying press left switch for 5 seconds and wait on it blinking orange. It does not turn orange the two lights blink green. So still could not get this to connect, and since It clearly states ORANGE I thought I was doing something incorrectly. Only thing I could think of was my WiFi signal was not strong enough, Checked signal with an app I downloaded , seem it at 60% so should work fine, SO just to be sure I went an bought a WiFi extender. Got that setup tried again, still same could not find the socket on the app. SO I read some reviews that mention if you have a 2 band router ( do ) its best to turn of the 5ghz , once I did that its connecting and app finds the socket no problem, didn't even need the extender. Alexa set up was easy after that, google home was a wee bit more frustrating, but got there in the end So yes it does w hat it says it does, bit flimsy and I doubt its water/shower proof in anyway, time will tell I guess. However since this was simply so at Christmas, I could use Alexa to turn off/on the outside lights, I hope it last till then Update 15/12/23 so got the outside Christmases lights set up, and used a routine on Alexa to switch on and off at specific time. All good and working fine, next day come home and no lights on. I see the socket says not connected to internet. Try resetting it, even use the Wi-Fi extender , but simply won't connect Email support and the only thing they came up with is it showing red LED (meaning low Wi-Fi strength) it has two green meaning pairing mode is on. So something wrong I suspect with the socket Wi-Fi Now you can not use the socket if no Wi-Fi, it simply wont switch the appropriate socket on, so got fed up and ripped it off and fitted a standard outside socket, Bought a smart extension and waterproof box, much easier and fully working So lasted just a little under 2 years. To be fair the supplier has sent a replacement. Though it is just the actual white socket, shame as I binned the whole unit, so if you are offered a replacement don't bin it , Oh on opening it up, it does seem to have repelled water ingress, but that may be down to the sealant I applied
