Fiskars Bloem 20-56406 Ariana Planter with Self-Watering Grid, 6", Thyme Green

Planter extends times between waterings. Holes for drainage are scored and need to be drilled or punched out.
This is a great planter, but there is frequent confusion on the issue of roots air access and the prevention of root rot (one of the selling points Fiskars uses.). These planters work best IF they have the saucer with it. It's a point that seller should make more strongly. The planters are sturdy, light, plastic, and very hard to break. But, they do not LOOK plastic; they look like pottery, even only a few inches away. I have Thyme Green and Black planters, and I like both colors. The planter does do a good job of holding water below the plant and really extends periods between watering.THE ROOT ROT PROTECTION ISSUE. On the bottom of this model planter is scored holes that can be drilled out; these holes allow for some of the air flow Fiskars promises. You need to have a saucer or the planter will leak.I'm currently using them without saucers, but probably will go that way, in the end.

Have to top water
I use self-watering pots for my African violets that I just love. They come in two pieces and the bottom piece is a water reservoir. I needed something similar in a larger size and ordered this. When it arrived, I discovered that I had to top-water as the reservoir was enclosed with the top. I'm sure it will work for what it was intended, but I didn't use it because it wasn't what I was looking for.

Great solution for “Over Waterer’s”
These are the only planters I use for my houseplants now. I tend to “over water” sometimes due to my work schedule. The barrier at the bottom prevents me from doing so. However, it saves my “over water” in the bottom Incase my plants need it. And the price! Can’t beat it!

Love Them!
I have so many of these pots I always recommend them. Very light weight and easy to work with. If you have a garden and want to save yourself some of the hassle of constant watering I recommend these of any size. I live in Texas and it gets so hot here so the self watering pot helps a great deal.

Just fine
I first thought these came damaged bc of the bottom appeared to be, however, upon checking the photo, they are just fine.

6 inch plant pot
It's great but kinda confused about the drainage system built in. Will move plant to it soon and seems good to me.

They’re ok
Good tiny potters, they work good for little things. I put my Venus fly trap in them.

Nice looking
Sturdy looking, plastic had textured matte surface so it doesn’t scream plastic.
