Better than WD GREEN, KINGSTON A400 AND CRUCIAL BX500
Trust me guys i've done a lot of research before buying this ssd. If you are confused between WD green, Kingston A400 and crucial BX500. Then is the the new boy in the market which beats them all. Wondering how....i will tell you. This ssd has faster random IO and mixed IO speed than any of its rivals which makes it faster to load apps. And this is the only ssd which having DRAM Cache in this price range which makes it even faster.(Only Samsung 860 evo and crucial mx 500 are the popular ssd's having DRAM cache in my knowledge)This ssd is ranked 511th in benchmark test in userbenchmark.com where the ranks of Kingston a400, WD green and crucial BX500 are 712, 849 and 690 respectivelyComing to the installation... This ssd is just plug and play. Pretty easy to install. Make sure to install fresh windows for better performance. I haven't done the crystal benchmarks yet but i'm sure it will be better than its rivals. Earlier my windows used to take 25+ seconds to boot up but now its booting up in less than 5 seconds. I was going to reduce one star for the delivery packing. It just came in a small cover without any protection but considering its performance i'm giving it a full five. Overall i'm a happy customer. Great SSD from gigabyte within budget range !
1st, it didn't came with a SATA cable ... so you must buy a sata cable for it. It's ultra light weight , i can say my phone is much heavier than this SSD. After installing it and mounting it, i installed windows 8.1 pro, and it took me only 10 mins to install from pendrive, after installing all the softwares installed too fast , chrome opens faster than before....installing the ssd on the cabinet bay was a bit time consuming , otherwise great SSD from gigabyte within budget range if you can't afford costly ssd like samsung evo. You get 112GB of storage on this SSD, which is maybe enough to install windows and all your required softwares. If u wanna get a long use of this SSD, don't defrag it using windows defragmenter or any software... If u are using windows 8, 8.1 or 10 use TRIM command, if trim is not enabled follow this steps below....You’ll need to check this from an Administrator Command Prompt window. To open an Administrator Command Prompt window on Windows 10 or 8.1, right-click the Start button and select “Command Prompt (Admin).Run the following command in the Command Prompt = " fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify " [ without the "" ]If you see DisableDeleteNotify = 0 , TRIM is enabled. Everything is good and you don’t need to worry about it.If you see DisableDeleteNotify = 1 , TRIM is disabled. This is a problem if you have an SSD.To enable TRIM run the following command in an Administrator Command Prompt window== " fsutil behavior set DisableDeleteNotify 0 " [ without the "" ] and youre done !

Fantastic product👌🤞
I'm not a computer fanatic. I've very little knowledge regarding computers. In the year 2012 I was searching for a laptop that would serve my basic purpose which could atleast work good for almost 10 years. My mama helped me in getting the best laptop at that time. The laptop served my purpose well for 7 years without any problem. After that it became very slow, it would take 10 minutes just to boot up. I thought the laptop's age got over. I informed the same to my mama, he said everything is fine with the laptop, you just need to change the HD to SSD. He also said over the time that the HD losses it's capability and hence it becomes slow. The problem with most of us common people is we think that laptop's age is over as it becomes slow. Only those who have knowledge about computers will understand the problem. I had almost decided to sell the laptop. My mama recommended this product. He himself installed it. It's so easy to install, if you know the process of how to and know how to open the laptop. OMG, after the installation of this and windows 10, the laptop has become freaking fast. Now it boots up in 40 seconds, mine is a i5 processor. And I highly recommend this product. I now believe my laptop will work fine for the next 7-8 years.5 stars to the product⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Value for money
Great value for money, it's a descent hard drive that could be used to replace the mechanical hard drive on your old builds. However go for M.2 if you are planning for a new build since the price difference is not much and there is a descent gain in performance since SATA hard drives still throttle on legacy AHCI standards.

Ssd is future and reliable
Guys if u want a genuine hard disk for less. Go for this authentic market Bcz those 160 gb and 320gb had is either refurbished or repaired. Which is a scam. Don't get fooled. I m telling that once I had purchased a 160gb wd digital had from nehru place and he said it is new. But the truth is he didn't even recognized hum. IN addition other shopkeepers were saying less than 500gb hdd for desktop and 1tb hdd for laptop are all refurbished. Don't go for it. Instead go for a ssd which is way faster, takes little more electricity but doesn't stop working even when dropped. even u r planning for a had case, go for a ssd which is always genuine and not like less capacity hdd which are always not working. The future is ssd go for it.

Fast and value for money
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Easy to install in new setup, but its a real work when it's come to an older setup upgradation. SSD is very good, match up the expectations, and also value for money,Have limited budget, go for it without any doubt..

Best performance at this budget.....just go for it specially low end processors.
I have samsung ssd but at this price it is giving same performance so there is no second doubt of not buying it and specially from a reputated brand Gigabyte....it is a game changer for low budget and specially old laptops & desktops.

Great value, and faster than advertised in my experience.
If you scroll right down to the official, full colour manufacturer's advert it claims speeds of 500MB read and 380MB write. Well, I tested it using my favorite little home build and I got more than 550MB read speed and a surprising 500MB write speed. I ran the test four times and and it only varied + or - 1MB on all figures.I suppose the hardware makes a difference. If you're interested, I've put an A10 APU on an ASRock A88M Mini ITX motherboard with 8GB of RAM and no graphics card. All open air too, just on a wooden plinth. Low budget and very effective.A little tip: there should be a setting in your motherboard's BIOS which may improve the performance of SSD's. Just looking at the BIOS on my other computer, with a Gigabyte mobo, there's a section marked 'Peripherals' with a line that says "OnChip SATA Type" giving three options: Native IDE, RAID or ACHI. If it's on the traditional IDE setting I'm told it will limit the maximum speed but if you change it to ACHI it should allow the full potential speed of an SSD. I only heard that recently and I haven't fully tested the theory yet but it does seem about right.

great value
i wanted to upgrade my daughters new ish laptop to SSD from Mechanical becasue hers was ridiculously slow , so i didn't want o break the bank , these are perfect worked strait of of the box didn't need to be found in disk management.Only problem i found is if your buying one of these to Migrate an OS to SSD , finding a free migration program is very difficult , all the "FREE" ones i clicked and downloaded are just click bait to get you to register and once u install you cant actually migrate OS to SSD unless you pay ... bit of a con .. but i managed to find one and cloned the partitions . the easiest option is to buy Samsung becasue it has its own free OS to SSD migration software but at double the price for the price i payed for the GIGABYTE 480.

Quality SSD
I have been using SSD for over 10 years now, today a 120gb SSD costs less than £20 and they are also 5 times faster and reliable then the ones I used previously 9 years ago. I normally buy 120gb SSDs normally to upgrade older laptops or use them in system PC builds. I find that These Gigabyte drives are great for this purpose. I find it works lot better on older laptops, unlike some other SSD I have used before from other brands sometimes the SATA driver wouldn’t pick up, with these there’s no need to flash the bios or firmware especially on older machines. I haven't seen these fail after using these on about 32 laptops. The performance is good, improves boot up speed dramatically. I recommend these for most machines unless you need a faster SSD for high end laptops otherwise these will provide the performance you need.

For gaming / basic boot drive it is decent. heavy data tasks is a no
If you dont know the ins and outs of SSD caches, slc, mlc and tlc I will summarise it for you. Cheaper ssds usually forgo a lot of the fancy tech and therefore slow down when big files are being written to it and also when youa re transferring loads of small files from one place to another. think of moving a photo album as a good example. However, if youare just installing windows, doing basic browsing and installing games, this drive presents good value and has a nice build quality, although it is plastic it has a nice finish and decent speeds even when sacrificing all other features.

Decent SSD on a par with most others
I'm not going to wax lyrical over why you should choose this particular SSD over another, because quite frankly an SSD is an SSD is an SSD....... They're all very fast compared to mechanical drives and you're unlikely to be disappointed with any. This one is a respected brand and I got it at a bargain price, so I'm happy. If you haven't ventured into the speedy world of SSD's yet - treat yourself
