Usual desk pads can range into the hundreds for something really prestigious, this has the thickness and gives the look I want on my desk.My only concern is if I can machine wash this? I didn't see any comments on cleaning the mat and I would love to know if it's washable? Perhaps the seller should include this info in their descriptions as well and also get back to me with an answer if possible.

This Desk Pad has been nice so far. I bought it because I was having some pain in my elbow from resting it on the desktop when I worked. This pad has alleviated that soreness. The pad seems to be a compressed felt, which is slightly rough to the touch, but not uncomfortable (think the feeling of a felted wool dryer ball but firmer). The textured bottom keeps the pad from sliding around, there is enough room for my keypad, trackpad, and enough space on the side for drinks/phone/notebook to lay while working. The edge of the pad is a little stiff and sometimes irritates the underside of my arms, but I feel this will soften with use. I would imagine that those who have a cold desktop this would be a great warming solution. The color is nice, almost like a soft marbling of grey/white/black.

The edges are sharp and eat at my sweater. You can see parts of my sweater caught on the edges (see photo)The felt is rough and catches almost every time I move my mouse. I've tried it with multiple mice and they all have the same problem. It gets caught so often I can feel the piling underneath my mouse. I have to pull the pilling off everyday.
