Helps my cat slow down in eating so he doesn't bring it back up.

One of my 8 yr old cats had started gulping food and vomiting almost every day. I tried feeding less more often and that didn't help, so bought Casper. In 2 wks I have had nothing to clean up!! My only thing is when they chew(dry food) it breaks into smaller pieces which fall ball into Casper and they can't seem to get to it. When I clean the fishes(I ordered a 2nd for other cat) I just pour the bits into one of their old bowls and they eat it out of there. There isn't much in bowl, plus they seem to eat throughout day, so no gulping issues. I did place fish on a tray so it catches some on bits so they don't fall on floor. Casper doesn't hold a lot so I half of each cats amt is given in their fish in a.m. and half in p.m. They do share from each others fish even though fed in different areas and no problems. I recommend highly!! Fairly easy and quick to clean

I've never used a lick mat until I bought this. I bought it to provide some stimulation for my cat during mealtime. My cat took to the mat instantly and had no trouble eating off it. This is the perfect size for a medium (8.5 lbs) cat that doesn't eat a lot in one sitting. She likes to eat often but only in small portions although I did notice that she sometimes eats a little more if I use the lick mat. Her original bowl is elevated and curved which allows me to mix bone broth or water into her wet food. This lick mat doesn't allow me to add too much liquid to mix in with the food. Some of the spaces in between are also way too small for any cat to get food out. I've played with the amounts of food I spread onto the mat but there's always leftover food stuck to the mat. I've seen my cat try to lick it all out but she cannot seem to get all the ridges which makes washing it my next gripe. The material can be difficult to wash. It's hard getting into all the little grooves and ridges. I've had to soak it in water, use an old toothbrush to wash off the leftover food, and then use cotton swabs to take out what the brush could not get. It's kind of time-consuming, especially if you leave it out for your cat for a couple of hours and the bits of her food stick to the mat.

This did work great for giving my cat a churu treat...but didn't realize when I bought it that, according to the packaging, it has to be HAND-WASHED. Who has time to hand wash a pet's treat mat? Guess my cat won't be getting treats very often...

Sylph, who outgrew her name some time ago, has to go on a diet. Vet’s orders. He called her obese. She thinks eating less = oppression. And she’s very creative at expressing displeasure. She’s not the kind of cat who communicates with body fluids. She launches her 15 pounds of fat self directly into you chest or back the second she sees an opening. I was looking into puzzle feeders and found this. The genius of it is that she has food bits to pick out of it for time enough to start feeling full. So instead of trying to murder me, she goes back and works on the fish. The bonus part is that her skinny sister who eats so fast that she regurgitates right back into her dish was absolutely fascinated with it. I got her one of her own and she has not lost her lunch since we started using it.

Got this for a cat who wolfs down her wet food. The groves on this dish and the dish itself are waaaay too narrow. You have to really mush down the food to get it to fit into the groves, and even though my cat licked and licked and licked at it, she still couldn't get all the food and left a bit of waste behind. If you don't push the wet food down, then it just sits on top of the dish and defeats the point. I saw in some other reviews that people's cats had chewed through this and I believe it! I assumed my cat wouldn't because she doesn't typically chew on non-food items, but even she got so frustrated I caught her nibbling on it, and the plastic is so thin it will definitely break off easily. The groves are also so small on the casper version I don't see this working with dry food (her kibbles are wider than the groves). Maybe this would work with broken up treats...but if the goal is to slow down eating, a treat ball is a better option for that.

Kurzum: Tolles Produkt Die Lickimat kommt bei meinen Hunden auf Empfehlung der Hundetrainerin zum Einsatz. Ich hatte die Matte für Katzen bestellt, da sie zum Zeitpunkt der Bestellung keine fünf Euro gekostet hat. Hier sehe ich keinen Unterschied zu den Hundematten und konnte auch noch sparen. Gerade für Tiere, die nur schwer alleine bleiben können oder in stressigen Situationen Ablenkung brauchen, ist die Lickimat ein Segen. Etwas Hundeleberwurst auf der Matte verteilt und schon sind meine Hunde eine ganze Weile beschäftigt. Da die Matte theoretisch zerbissen werden könnte, würde ich Tiere, die Spielzeug gerne auseinander nehmen, damit nicht alleine lassen.

Es perfecto para la comida húmeda, tengo este modelo y otro que se llama félix. Este es más rígido, dejando un poco el agua en remojo se limpia bien. Este modelo es más "difícil para los gatos"

The product is a typical size for a cat lick mat. Sometimes I buy dog lick mats, but they are too large for him to sit in one spot and eat. I love the variety of textures, unlike other lick mats that have one pattern! My 4mo kitten ranks this 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have one long haired cat that requires regular grooming. This turned a very unpleasant session for both my cat and I to something he looks forward to. Because I don’t have anyone to help me during these sessions, I just grab a liquid treat and add it to the licky mat, and while he’s busy getting at it, I’m grooming him. This has been super helpful!
